TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

CURRENT SKATING
LEVEL / SKATING CRITERIA / REQUIRED ELEMENTS
(in recommended order of skating)
Skate Uk Level 8 / Must be a recognised Member of GIFSC and of completed all of Skate UK 8 and working towards UK Bronze / Spin –Upright 1 foot spin (min 2 revs)
Step Sequence - Forward Cross Rolls
Step Sequence - Backwards cross overs to Landing position glide (either foot)
Skate UK Bronze / Must of completed ALL of Skate uk Bronze and working towards UK Silver / Spin – Upright 1 foot spin (min 2 revs)
Spiral - Forwards
Jump Sequence - Bunny hop, Bunny hop, Drag
Skate UK Silver / Must of completed ALL of Skate uk Silver and working towards UK Gold / Spin – Upright1 Foot spin (min 2 revs)
Spiral – Tea Pot
Jump – Three Jump
Skate UK Gold / Beginner / Must of completed ALL of Skate UK Gold but Not hold NISA Level 1 FREE or ELEMENTS / Spin – Upright (No variations)
Spiral – Forward
Jump – Salchow
Nisa Level 1 / Must Not hold NISA Level 2 FREE or ELEMENTS / Spin – Sit spin (min 2 revs in position)
Spiral – Forward OR Backwards (catch foot allowed)
Jump – Toe Loop
Nisa Level 2 / Must Not hold NISA Level 3 FREE or ELEMENTS / Spin – Camel (min 2 revs in position)
Spiral – Forwards on a curve (using alternate feet for min 3 secs on each foot – Variations allowed)
Jump - Flip
Nisa Level 3 / Must Not hold NISA Level 4 FREE or ELEMENTS / Spin – Camel- Sit (min 2 revs per position – variations allowed)
Spiral - Incorporate 2 of the following in a simple step sequence: F spiral, B spiral, pivot, ina bauer, spread, drag
Jump - Axel
Adults / Adults / Spin – Sit Spin (min 2 revs)
Spiral – incorporate a spiral – any style / direction into a choreo sequence
Jump – Single toe loop

Note: No variations are permitted to the elements listed for a class (unless stated), for example, an upright spin should remain an upright spin throughout and not change to a sit spin.

Skaters should limit the skating between the set elements to forward/backward stroking/crossovers and necessary linking steps only.
