Ø Monday, April 6— No school—Return from Spring Break.
Ø Tuesday, April 7— Math—You may use beans, macaroni, gum, candy, or anything they can manipulate if needed. Have your child tell you all the different ways to make the sum of 10. After doing all the sums from 1+9=10, 2+8=10, etc. then see if your child can tell you the sums without using the manipulatives. Have your child write 5 different ways to make 10. (addition problems).
Ø Wednesday, April 8—Math—Choose two math activities from attached “Everyday Mathematics” Book 4. Write here the 2 activities you completed with your child: 1.______2. ______. (No Cook Modeling Dough looks like fun! Pg. 11) You can make your child practice making numbers out of the dough. Choose 2 digit numbers.
Ø Thursday, April 9—Math—Adding or subtracting with Dice—Get 2 dice. Have your child throw the two dice. First have them add the two numbers together. Play this for at least 10 times. Next have your child subtract the two numbers. Make sure they know they have to choose the bigger number to subtract from. Play this for at least 10 times. Have your child write 5 subtraction problems with correct answers.
Ø Friday, April 10 — Bring something to “Show and Tell” that begins or ends with the letters, “G, W, V, or X.

I realize that we only have one more month of school left, but it is very important to continue working with your child on their homework. Your child’s report card will show what area/s your child needs extra help in. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
