OCC FOUNDATION BOARD ELECTS NEW MEMBERS

SYRACUSE, NY – The OCC Foundation Board recently elected two directors to each serve a three-year term. The directors are:

·  Mr. James F. Holland, Vice President of Administration of Syracuse Research Corporation. Mr. Holland lives in Oswego. (photo attached)

·  Mr. Patrick J. Rao, Assistant General Counsel for Carrier Corporation. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Everson Museum of Art and is Vice President of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Central and Western New York Chapter. Mr. Rao lives in Marietta. (photo attached)

The Board also elected six new officers:

·  Chair: Mr. Allen J. Naples, President, Syracuse Region, M&T Bank. Mr. Naples lives in Fayetteville. (photo attached)

·  Vice Chair: Mr. Marc A. Malfitano, Esq. An attorney and real estate developer with residential projects in Onondaga County. Mr. Malfitano lives in Syracuse. (photo attached)

·  Vice Chair: Ms. Nancy A. Bottar, President, Onondaga Historical Association. Ms. Bottar lives in Syracuse.

·  Treasurer: Mr. Steven J. St. Amour, Managing Partner, Green & Seifter, PLLC. Mr. St. Amour lives in Baldwinsville. (photo attached)

·  Assistant Treasurer: Mr. Mark W. Re, Vice President and General Manager, Gallinger Realty USA. Mr. Re lives in Camillus. (photo attached)

·  Secretary: Ms. Irene E. Scruton, President Safety Council of Upstate New York, Inc. Ms. Scruton lives in Fayetteville. (photo attached)

Since its founding in 1980, the OCC Foundation, a New York State 501(c)3 Corporation, has raised vital dollars in support of the mission of Onondaga Community College. The Foundation serves as the primary fundraising arm of the College with scholarship grants now exceeding $1 million.

The second-largest undergraduate college in Central New York, Onondaga Community College (OCC) is a comprehensive two-year college operating under the State University of New York (SUNY). Founded in 1961, it is locally sponsored by Onondaga County. OCC offers nearly 50 programs of study, bachelor and master’s degrees available on campus, transfer programs in the technologies and health professions, and an online Faculty Experts Guide. OCC is home to the 2006 and 2007 undefeated NJCAA National Champions men’s lacrosse team.
