Objective: 1. Students will identify and draw fractional parts of a region and a set, and divide sets to show fractional parts. Students will describe and compare fractional parts of whole objects and sets.

Procedure: 1. Complete Problem of the Day and Daily Spiral Review at the beginning of class as groups using the Promethean Board. 2. Guided instruction with the class on the Guided Practice problems using the Promethean Board and chalk board. Students will also use their notebooks to answer problems and will complete Independent Practice in their note book.

Assessment: Quick Check worksheet and review or oral review or one problem on the white board before the students leave.

Assignment: 10-1 and 10-2 Re-teach and Practice Worksheets.

Procedure: 1. Complete and check morning daily practice work. 2. Complete Lesson Practice 4 in their coach books and review the answers orally. 3. Check students understanding by doing an exit problem.
