08h00 / Racing Starts. All 500m events including the K4’s
The other half of the LD events

Saturday 2 May / 07h00 / Paddlers meeting.
08h00 / Racing Starts. All 200m events including K4’s
15h00 / Final medal ceremony and overall prize-giving.
Entry Fee: R250. Entries close Sunday 26 April 2015. Absolutely no late entries will be considered under any circumstances. Substitute entries in the same sex and age group may be made at the 1st Team Leaders meeting.

NOTES:-
- 1000m / 500m / 200m straight racing events will be held in the following categories:-
Male and Female – Guppies – all distances
- K1& C1 and K2 & C1 all distances U14- U18
- 1000m K4 races will be in U18 boys
- 500m K4 races will be in U18 girls
- 5000m for the LD races will be held for all classes.
- 2000m LD races for all guppies.
Categories will be combined where insufficient entries are received. Three boats are required for a category to be raced. Awards will be in accordance with the latest CSA regulations - 3 boats for Gold and 5 for Silver and Bronze as well. Age groups are all calculated according to the current ICF age category rules

Some basic rules.
- The competition will be run in accordance with the latest ICF rules for flat-water racing.
- Competitors must be paid-up, registered members of canoe clubs affiliated to CSA.
- Competitors may only participate in the events they have entered for.
- All kayaks must conform to CSA specifications.
- All kayaks must be fitted with a number slide on the back deck. Any competitor arriving at the start with an incorrectly numbered kayak will not be allowed to start.
- Where less than 12 kayaks have entered for an event the heats and semi-finals will fall away and straight finals will be run.
TEAM LEADERS/PADDLERS MEETINGS
All managers and paddlers must attend the meetings each day to confirm entries and the schedule of events.
DIRECTIONS TO ROODEPLAAT DAM
Academy for Canoe Development
Take the Pretoria highway and branch off to Polokwane.
Travel along this highway until you reach the Solomon Mahlangu/Zambeziofframp.
Turn off and go through the tollgate.
At the T junction robot, turn right.
Go under the highway and through the next robot of the onramp.
At the next robot turn left. (Roodeplaat North)
This is the road to MOLOTO.
Travel about 8km and the entrance to Roodeplaat Dam will be on
your right hand side.
Proceed through the gate (security) and just before the dam take the road to the left.
You will pass through another gate and parking will be demarcated.

The course is situated at Roodeplaat Dam, Pretoria North.

I, the undersigned, do hereby state and agree that:
- I am aware of the potential dangers involved to which I will be exposed by participating in canoeing and associated activities;
- I am further aware that Canoeing South Africa and it’s affiliated Unions, and all subordinate bodies and officials as well as sponsors of events, in organising and permitting my participation in such activities and in establishing and enforcing safety measures in regards thereto, cannot ensure my safety and/or the adequacy of such measures.
- As such, I undertake to:
(a)participate in all canoeing and associated activities at my own sole risk and responsibility;
(b)exonerate all persons and bodies involved in the organisation and sponsorship of canoeing under the auspices of Canoeing South Africa and affiliated Unions from, and indemnify them against, any loss or damage which I or any others, including my dependants, may suffer as a result of any injury or death resulting from any act or omission on the part of such body or person, whether due to negligence (including gross negligence) or otherwise;
(c)comply with all safety and other rules and regulations of Canoeing South Africa and all affiliated Unions and subordinate bodies;
- I have received and had an opportunity to review the ICF Anti-Doping Rules.
(a)I consent and agree to comply with and be bound by all of the provisions of the ICF Anti-Doping Rules, including but not limited to, all amendments to the Anti-Doping Rules and all International Standards incorporated in the Anti-Doping Rules
(b)I acknowledge and agree that National Federations and the ICF have jurisdiction to impose sanctions as provided in the ICF Anti-Doping Rules.
(c)I also acknowledge and agree that any dispute arising out of a decision made pursuant to the ICF Anti-Doping Rules, after exhaustion of the process expressly provided for in the ICF Anti-Doping Rules, may be appealed exclusively as provided in Article 13 of the ICF Anti-Doping Rules to an appellate body for final and binding arbitration, which in the case of International-Level Athletes is the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
(d)I acknowledge and agree that the decisions of the arbitral appellate body referenced above shall be final and enforceable, and that I will not bring any claim, arbitration, lawsuit or litigation in any other court or tribunal.
- I undertake to wear a buoyancy jacket that conforms to the requirements of Canoeing South Africa and affiliated Unions, if I do not qualify for the exemption.
- I have read and understand this Acknowledgement and Agreement.
