Expressions of interest are invited from teachers interested in a career opportunity relieving in the position of Assistant Principal from 27 January until 19 December 2017 (with a possible extension). The position will be located at:

Leumeah PSBurrendong Rd, Leumeah, 2560

Position Information

Leumeah Public School is situated in Campbelltown. Our school has an enrolment of 621 students. Over 50% of our students are from language backgrounds other than English and 26 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island students. The school has 23 classes including an Opportunity Class.

Leumeah Public School is committed to providing a strong, engaging teaching and learning environment in addition to a wide range of sporting and extracurricular programs. An expression of interest addressing the criteria, of no more than 2 pages in length should be submitted to Kerry Wood, principal at by 2 December 2016, 3:00pm.

Selection criteria

§  Outstanding interpersonal skills with proven ability to contribute to building and strengthening a collaborative learning culture and effective working relationships with the wider school community.

§  Demonstrated ability to use data and educational research to lead differentiated professional learning in the classroom.

§  Evidence of extensive curriculum knowledge to improve student outcomes in literacy and numeracy.

One of the referees listed must be the applicant’s current principal or supervisor for non-school-based staff. Expressions of interest must not exceed 2 A4 pages and require the signature of the applicant’s current principal or supervisor.
