HOAX CALLER WHO CREATED DISTURBANCE AT NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION ARRESTED.
New Delhi Railway Station police has arrested Jagdish Chander age 60 years resident of Khera kalan Colony, Delhi for making a hoax call of fire in train at New Delhi Railway Station.
On 15.2.2009 at 5.45 PM PCR call was received that Shiv Ganga Express scheduled to leave for Varanasi has caught fire. Seeing the gravity of the call Inspr. C R Meena of PS NDLS rushed to platform No. 13 at station. Because of nature of call Fire Brigade and emergency services of Railways responded to the call.
On enquiry police discovered that there was no fire in the train and the hoax call was made by passenger Jagdish Chander, age 60 years after a quarrel with a co-passenger to teach him a lesson. Jagdish Chander gives tuitions for his living. He was arrested after investigations and he has been booked under section 505/182 IPC in case FIR No. 56/09 for disrupting rail services and causing panic. He will be produced in concerned court at Tis Hazari today. His mobile phone has been seized from his call was made.

Gang Busted by Crime Branch
Two arrested from Rohini – Three stolen cars recovered
14 cases of burglary and theft solved
The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted a gang and solved 14 cases of burglary and theft committed in various parts of the capital. Two persons have been arrested from Rohini, Delhi. Three stolen cars, including a Hyundai Santro and two Maruti 800 cc cards have been recovered from their possession. The gang specialized in day burglaries and has committed the crime in the areas of Vasant Kunj, Palam, Shakarpur, Shalimar Bagh, Maurya Enclave, Rohini, Roop Nagar and Prashant Vihar. The gang broke open locks when they were sure that the owners had left and mostly took away cash and jewellery from the houses. The gang stole cars to facilitate their burglary heists. The arrested persons are:
1.Rohan (24) r/o Vivekanand Nagar, Bahadurgarh, Haryana – He is a School dropout and has studied up to 11th Standard. He has a past criminal record with three cases of car-jacking registered against him in Delhi and Gurgaon. He also has a case of rape registered against him at Bahadurgarh, Haryana. He was arrested earlier jailed and came out on bail in March 2008. Since then he formed a new gang along with Surender Chauhan, Vijay Sharma, Ravinder Dahiya, Surender Rajora and Gaurav and started committing burglaries. In addition to the 14 fresh cases solved now, Rohan was found wanted in two cases of theft and dacoity committed in Gurgaon Haryana where his associates had already been arrested and the police were searching for him.
2.Vijay Sharma @ Shammi (24) r/o Sundar Nagri, Trans Yamuna, Delhi - He is educated up to 9th Standard and is a school dropout. He is distantly related to Rohan. He was found involved in most of the 14 cases committed by the gang along with Rohan and Surender Chauhan.
Ct. Pradip of Special Investigation Team, Crime Branch Sec-18, Rohini, Delhireceived information about Rohan and his gang. A team led by Insp. Satyprakash including SI. Attar SIngh, HC. Baljit, HC. Ramesh, HC. Jitender, Ct. Pradip and Ct. Pravin was constituted to further develop information in this regard.
After sustained efforts at about 02:25 pm on 15.2.09 the Crime Branch Team finally succeeded in apprehending Rohan and his associate Vijay Sharma from road opposite District Park. Prashant Vihar while they were travelling in a Santro Car. The car was found to be stolen from the area of Dwarka and a case, vide FIR No. 17/09 dated 11.1.09 u/s 379 IPC PS. Dwarka was found registered for the same.
Both Rohan and Vijay led to recovery of two more Maruti cars stolen by them recently for which cases were found registered for both car thefts at PS. Rohini. They disclosed involvement in 2 more cases of Car Theft and 8 cases of Burglary. The gang has committees burglaries and thefts involving cash and jewelry worth about more then a crore rupees. House breaking implements have also been recovered from the accused. The wealth derived from crime has been used in leading a lavish life style and they have been involved in cricket betting as well.
All the offences have been committed after Rohan came out on bail in March 2008. The respective offences have been linked with the case FIRs. The remaining gang member and the receiver of stolen property have been identified.
Further investigation in the case is on.

Two burglars arrested: Recovery of stolen laptop and
cell phones effected
With the arrest of two persons namely i) Sagar, aged 19 years slo Mahabir Singh, resident of 1603, Sector A-6, Punarwas Colony, Pocket 2, Narela; and
ii) Ibrahim, aged 31 years slo Mohd. Anjai rlo 1032, Sector A-6, Punarwas Colony, Narela, the South District police has busted a gang of burglars committing crime in South Delhi area. With their arrest one stolen laptop, Steros, two cell phones, some clothes have so far been recovered.
INCIDENT
During the last few days a few incidents of burglary were reported in the area of police station Lodhi colony in which criminals were entering into the house in night after scaling over walls, by using drain pipe and after breaking locks and latches. One such incident was occurred on the night intervening 3.2.2009 in which criminal entered into the house at 793, Block No. 11, Lodhi Colony and escaped with a laptop, cell phones etc. Similarly on the same day the same set of persons also entered in other houses of the locality and escaped with clothes, cash and suitcase etc.
TEAM & INVESTIGATION
In order to nab this gang, a team of police station Lodhi Colony consisting of HC Satender yadav, Devender Gupta, Cosnts. Umesh, Suresh, Asgar Ali and Kaushlendra under the leadership of Inspr. Rajender Singh, SHO, P.S. Lodhi Colony, and under the supervision of Sh. Vikramjeet Singh, ACP/Def. Colony was formed. The team developed sources and learnt that a gang of burglar is coming to the area from Narela and committing crime in the area. On a specific information two members of the gang namely Sagar and Ibrahim were arrested today morning (15.02.2009) by conducting raids in Narel a area and stolen laptop, cell phones and other articles were recovered. The cases of burglary reported in recent past were solved with the arrest of this gang.
INTERROGATION
During the sustained interrogation it was disclosed that the criminals had been living in the jhuggi cluster in Lodhi Colony area about 10 years ago. They were allotted alternative site in Narela area and starting living there. But their visits to Lodhi colony area remained continue as they were well conversant with the topography of the area and had committed several incidents earlier in the area. One Sanju, the kingpin of the gang is the notorious receiver of stolen property and used to come in a maruti van in Lodhi Colony to collect stolen property from different thieves. But due to pressure of local police he also shifted to Narela and
started his illegal activities from there. The gang of Sagar consisted of four members namely Ibrahim, Gautam and Bhanu all presently putting up in alternative plots in Narela started committing crime in Lodhi Colony area and a few incidents reported in the last fortnight. Sagar and Ibrahim have been arrested in these cases and stolen property i.e. Laptops, Stereos, cell phones etc. have so far been recovered. Other stolen articles viz. cell phones, cash, jewellery, costly clothes etc. have been disposed of through Sanju, the notorious receiver of stolen property and efforts are being done to recover the rest of the property.
MODUS OPERENDI
The gang would come to the area in day time and stay back at their old contacts/hideouts and commit crime in night in flats in Lodhi Colony by scaling walls, drainage pipes and even by breaking locks and latches in closed houses. They mostly targeted electronics items, and cash and jewellery. After committing crime they would go back to Narela and dispose of the stolen articles through Sanju who further dispose off it in Faridabad and other NCR region through his contacts. Efforts are being done to arrest Sanju and his other contacts deals in stolen property.
RECOVERY
1.One laptop IBM;
2.Two cell phones,
3.One stolen stereo;
4.Some clothes etc.
Further investigation is in progress. More arrest and recoveries are likely.

Four members of Dhanu gang involved in many cases of murder, robbery and burglaries arrested while planning to rob a patrol pump: Firearms and knives recovered
With the arrest of four persons namely i) Chander Bhan @ Bhanu, aged 28 years resident of Gulawati, District Bulandshahr, UP; ii) Hari Chand, aged 24 years resident of VilI. Bichola, P.S. Khurja, distt. Bulandshahr; iii) Dev Kumar, aged 23 years resident of VilI. Bichola, District Bulandshahr and iv) Rahul @ Bhupinder, aged 34 years resident of village Manikabad, P.S. Dairy, distt. Girdih, Jharkhand, the South District police has foiled a bid to rob patrol pump located near to Dayal singh College on the night intervening 12/13-2-2009. With their arrest of these criminals, one loaded .315 bore pistol, and three knives were recovered.
INCIDENT, TEAM & INVESTIGATION
For the last few days it has come to notice that the members of Bhanu gang of Bulandsharh are loitering in the area of South and South East Delhi to commit some heinous crime and carrying firearms and other weapons to execute their designs. In order to nab this gang a team of police station Lodhi Colony consisting of SI Promod Joshi, ASI Anand, HC Satender, Consts. Umesh, Suresh, Asgar Ali and Kaushlendra under the leadership of Inspr. Rajender Singh, SHO, Lodhi Colony and under the close supervision of Sh. Vikramjeet Singh, ACP/Defence Colony was formed. The team so formed developed its sources and came to know that the gang had already identified some targets in the area of South Delhi where with the help of domestic help and patrol pump employees, would commit crime. On a very specific information generated from some domestic help, the group of Bhanu gang was got identified as the active gang in the area and traps were laid. On 12.2.09 around 7 PM the four members of gang as named above were overpowered by the above team in Veer Sawarkar Park, Lodhi Colony while they were planning to commit a dacoity at Patrol Pump of the area around 9 PM. One loaded pistol and three knives were recovered.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation it was learnt that Chander Bhan @ Bhanu, the leader of the gang had earlier been involved in cases of murder with daoity, robbery, burglary, shoot out with the police party, Goonda Act, Arms Act, Auto thefts etc. He was a terror in the area of Bulandshahr and Khurja and had been declared P.O. and wanted criminal. A reward of Rs. 5000/- was also processed by
the district administration for his arrest In the year 2004 he along with his other associates killed a businessman while committing dacoity in night in the area of Khurja and escaped with the cash and jewellery. Before committing this
sensational crime he had been arrested in Delhi in police station New Friends Colony in several cases of Burglaries, auto thefts and Arms Act. In these sensational crimes he remained in Jail continuously for 7 years and came in contact with the present associates in jail only. Rahul also spent 5 years in jail for these crimes. In all these cases he won over the domestic help of targeted houses and got friendly entry in the night and burgled the houses. Domestic help namely Shambhu was also arrested in all those cases for providing useful information. The gang had also committed burglaries using same modus operandi in the area of Malviya Nagar with the help of one Rama who is still absconding in all these cases. Bhanu had earlier been involved in 12 sensational cases of Bulandshahr and Delhi and has been declared PO in all these cases.
Rahul @ Bhupinder, the other associate of Chander Bhan @ Bhanu, and a desperate burglar, has also been involved in 18 cases reported in various parts of Delhi viz. NFC, S.N. Puri, Rohini etc. The other members of the gang arrested have also been arrested In various crimes earlier.
During interrogation, it was learnt that the leader of the gang Bhanu in association of Dev Kumar wanted to procure government tender of installation of Lifts and to deposit surety money he wanted to commit a big crime in Delhi for good heist.
MODUS OPERENDI
As per their modus operandi, they would become friendly with the domestic help of the area and win over their confidence and seek important internal details of the house and then commit burglary. Using this modus operandi they committed several cases in posh localities of the area. Moreover, a few members of the gang work for soft drinks companies for loading and unloading of soft drinks at various establishment, shops and houses and during the process identify the lucrative targets to commit crime.

Further investigation is In progress. Domestic helps and patrol pump employees involved in the crime with the gang are being identified. More arrests and recoveries are likely. Bulandshahr Police has been informed regarding the arrest of Bhanu and his other gang members.

GANG OF AUTO-LIFTERS BUSTED
On 15.2.09 under the supervision of Sh. Chander Has ACP/Operation Cell and in the leadership of Inspr. L.C.Yadav, a team of AATS/North-West Distt. have arrested two notorious auto lifters and 5 cars were recovered at their instance.
ARREST MADE
On 14-2-09 a secret information was received at office of Operation Cell/NW Distt., that a notorious auto lifter namely Sanjay @ Bharat Bhushan with a stolen Zen car, is going to dispose off it at some place in Kurukshetra. This information was developed by staff of AATS/NWD and a trap was laid at picket of P.S. Saroop Nagar. On 15.2.09, SI Naresh Kumar, HC Naresh Kumar, Ct. Satish Kumar, Ct. Sohan lal and Ct. Satyawan of AATS/North West Distt. kept a close watch on the vehicles coming from Burari. At about 4 PM, a Maruti Zen car no. DL-6C-F-4294 was stopped in which Sanjay @ Bharat Bhushan s/o Ram Prakash R/o A-747 Gali No 9 Sawroop Vihar, Burari was sitting with driver Avtar Singh @ Gaggu S/o Satnam Singh R/o Ward 11, Shiv Mohalla, P.S. Ladwa, Distt. Kurukshetra , were apprehended. On interrogation they could not produce any valid document of ownership in respect of the vehicle. On sustained interrogation they disclosed that they have stolen this car from Mandi, Himachal Pardesh. They further disclosed that they have also stolen four cars from various places and stated that they have parked two stolen cars in Burari area, one at Kurukshetra (HR) and one car they have given to one Shailendra Kumar in Delhi.
CASES WORKED OUT
Three cases of MV theft of Himachal Pardesh, and one case of P.S Tilak nagar , Delhi, one case of P.S. Keshav puram, and one case of P.S. Adarsh Nagar were solved. On sustained interrogation these criminals revealed their involvement in a number of cases of various Police Stations. A total 5 cases of theft have been worked out by the arrest of these criminals. Following case have been worked out:-
- FIR No. 30/09 u/s 379 IPC PS Tilak Nagar, Delhi.
- FIR No. 337/08 u/s 379 IPC PS Keshav Puram, Delhi.
- FIR No. 40/09 u/s 379 IPC PS Sunder Nagar, Himachal Pardesh.
- FIR No. 52/09 u/s 379 IPC PS Mandi, Himachal Pardesh.
- FIR No. 40/09 u/s 379 IPC PS Bilashpur, Himachal Pardesh.
RECOVERIES
On the disclosure of the accused persons 5 cars (Three Maruti zen, one Esteem, one maruti van) have been recovered at their instance. One Maruti van was recovered from Burari, at the instance of accused Avtar Singh @ Gaggu, one Maruti zen was recovered at the instance of accused Sanjay @ Bharat Bhushan, one maruti Esteem was recovered from Village Rampur, Kurukshetra, at the instance of accused Sanjay who had given this car to one Jitender, whom he has promised to hand over original documents along with sale letter and another car was maruti zen was handed over to Shailender advocate who has paid money to compromise the accident matter of P.S. Gannaur.
