SCALE OF CHARGES
Queniborough Road, Barkby
(effective from 25thJune 2015)
The parishioner fee's, payments and sums set out below shall apply to the following categories of people:-
a) to inhabitants of the civil parish of Barkby & Barkby Thorpe purchasing, during their
lifetime, the exclusive right of burial.
b) to former inhabitants of the civil parishes of Barkby & Barkby Thorpe who, while resident in
either civil parishes, purchased the exclusive right of burial in the cemetery.
c) to person to be interred who, immediately before death were inhabitants of the civil parishes of
Barkby & Barkby
Thorpe.
1. INTERMENT
a)For the interment of the body of a stillborn or a child whose age at the time
of death did not exceed one year £ 15.00
b)For the interment of the body of a child whose age at the time of death did not £ 25.00
exceed 14 years
c)For the interment of the body of any other person - Parishioner £ 75.00

d)For the interment of cremated remains at casket depthParishioner £ 50.00

2. EXCLUSIVE RIGHT OF BURIAL
a)For the exclusive right of burial in an earthen grave for a period of one
hundred years

3. HEADSTONES, MONUMENTS
a)For the right to erect a headstone not exceeding 2’6” in height on a grave for £ 60.00
which the Exclusive Right of Burial has been granted
b)For the right to place a vase on a grave for which the Exclusive Right of £ 30.00
Burial has been granted. (Vase to be easily removable for maintenance
purposes.
c)Additional inscriptions £ 20.00
4. SCATTERING OF CREMATED REMAINS
a)For the right to scatter cremated remains £ 50.00
