NEW MEMBERS OF THE TEAM
We would like to welcome 3 new staff to our team at Kelvin Grove. Miss Ross will be working in year 1, Mr Fassam is our new EAL Lead and Ms Scarff is our new Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant.

Karate classes will start on Monday 12th September (application forms have already been sent out). Please fill in and return reply slip to register an interest in Football, Homework, Basketbal, Lingotots and Film Clubs. Your child will receive written confirmation if they have got a place in any of these clubs. If your child is interested in Lunchtime Gymnastics please register an interest at the school office. Please note that Football Clubs do not start until the third week of term.
SWIMMING LESSONS
Class 5B will be attending swimming lessons on Wednesday afternoon and Class 4H will be attending on a Thursday morning. Children are required to have suitable swimming costumes (No bikinis and No “Holiday” shorts) and a towel. They may also take goggles and a swimming hat, however these are not essential. If your child has an inhaler they MUST have it in school or they will not be able to take part in the lesson.
UNIFORM
The school actively encourages children to wear school uniform. School sweatshirts and polo shirts are available from the school office. Payment must be made in full when clothing is ordered as all uniform is supplied with the child’s name. The school maintains the right to ban certain kinds of clothing, which might prove to be a safety hazard.Children should be smart in appearance and extreme hair styles are actively discouraged.
PE Kit
These should be brought into school at the beginning of term and collected at the end.

Trainers (for outdoor lessons only)
Jewellery should not be worn in school, including ear-rings. This is with the exception of an inexpensive watch.
Uniform may be ordered from the School Office.
ALL UNIFORM MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH CHILDRENS’ NAMES.
MERIT TOTALS
Last year’s Merit winning house was the Awesome Angels with a grand total of 816 merits! They enjoyed an afternoon of games and a special BBQ in the school yard as their prize at the end of last term.
