Convocation

  • Nominations for faculty awards, exemplary student, and Clinical, Macro and Field Practice awards are now open and available online
  • NASW Selected Theme: Forging Solutions out of Challenges
  • Student speaker – submit a 3-5 minute speech around the theme. Can use Media Center.
  • Red and White cords were selected for SGA and SGA-supported groups
  • Purchase at SMC Campus Center Bookstore from Jennifer Stevens () Deadline: April 22nd - $15
  • Soliciting photo submissions for slideshow featured at Graduation – jpeg format ONLY
  • Please submit photos to:

Elections for Executive Board

  • Vote: Option 1 vs. Option 2
  • Option One

  1. Nominations will open up on March 9th and close March 25th.
  2. Campaign Period will be from March 28th and end on April 8th. Voting will go on during this period of time.
  3. SGA Monthly will be held on April 4th. Candidates must attend meeting.
  • Option Two:
  • Nominations will open up on March 9th and close April 6th.
  • Campaign Period will be from April 7th and end on 21st. Voting will go on during this period of time.
  • SGA Monthly will be held on April 11th. Candidates must attend meeting.
  • Students voted and decided on Option Two unanimously.

  • How to Work the Job Fair – Monday, March 21st at 12:15 PM in Room 2E02
  • Fair will include how to dress for job interviews
  • SSW Job Fair – Tuesday, March 29th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM in SMC Campus Center

  • Bring your resume, professional attire, and prepare to interview
  • Alumni Resume Review – Month of May
  • Send emails to Krishna Williams in the Alumni Office
  • Resume Review- Links students with an alumni in your field to help with resume

  • Next meeting is Wednesday, March 9th at 5:30 PM
  • USGA allocated almost $25,000 for event occurring in the Spring Semester; several SSW groups were given money and money project SSW students are involved with.
