AGE GROUP COACH

JOB TITLE: Age Group Coach

RESPONSIBLE TO: Head Coach (HC)

SKILLS REQUIRED: ASA / UKCC Level 2

MAIN DUTIES:

  1. Assist the Head Coach (HC) and Head Age Group Coach (HAGC) in the design, delivery and administrative organisation of the Regional Age Squad
  2. Coach and oversee the running of the Regional Age Squad in line with LTAD
  3. Deliver pool-based and land-based training sessions
  4. Identify individual swimmer’s needs and ensure they are met
  5. Identify squad needs and ensure they are met
  6. Identify talented swimmers to the HAGC
  7. Smooth administrative transfer of swimmers between squads
  8. Communicate effectively with parents, swimmers and club members
  9. Assist in compiling club management and attendance database
  10. Assist with administration and fee payment management
  11. Promote swim meets and gala entries
  12. Attend swim meets and galas as directed on the competition calendar
  13. Promote and coach developmental camps and clinics
  14. To act as a spokesperson for the Regional Age Squad
  15. Attend Norwich teachers and coaches meetings
  16. Ensure communication with swimmers and parents is received and understood
  17. Receive and answer enquiries in person and by telephone and email
  18. Referral of complaints where appropriate
  19. Report any problems immediately to HC/HAGC/MC
  20. Provide timely reports to the HC and Management Committee (MC)
  21. Follow and promote the UEA City of Norwich SC code of conduct
  22. Follow and promote the UEA City of Norwich SC equity policy
  23. Always be positive
  24. Assist the HC and HAGC with other reasonable duties

Hours:There isflexibility on weekly hours for the right candidate

Part-time: iro 10-15 hours / week

Remuneration:This position is self-employed and remuneration is based on an hourly rate dependent upon qualifications and experience.
