Scholarship Program
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded on the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood & Finer Womanhood. In keeping with those principles, we are proud to offer the following scholarships: Since 1995, Beta Iota Zeta Chapter has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and fellowships for higher education to students in the community.
Thescholarshipsare funded through community events such as our annual Blue Valentine Dance, as well as contributions and gifts from sorority members and non-members.
Monica L. Taylor Community Service Scholarship
Onescholarship will be given to a qualifying African-American high school senior who contributes to the community by volunteering in community service activities and has plans to continue academic studies at an accredited2/4-year college or university. Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 5.0, or equivalent, and attend high school in the Bloomington/Normal area. This scholarship is named after Our Triumphant Soror Monica L Taylor who served within our community anda faithful member of BIZ.
Z.P.E.T.E. (Zetas Promoting Excellence through Education) Scholarship
Onescholarship will be given to a qualifying African-American non-traditional student; who is a single parent and pursuing a degree at an accredited 2/4-year college or university. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 and live in the Bloomington/Normal community.
