ACT 1
A Day of Celebration: Angels' Recon Mission
It is the start of summer vacation for Shinji Ikari and his friends. At the sound of the dismissal bell. Students rush out to start their much anticipated reward for enduring school. Shinji is seen running out with Touji and Kensuke.
"Goodbye Shinji!! Have a lovely vacation!!" Shouts the class representative. Shinji smiles and waves back, while Touji and Kensuke start to grin. "Goodbye Shinji! Have lovely vacation! I'll miss you sooo much!" Touji says striking a girlish pose. Shinji gets embarrassed. Kensuke bursts into laughter.
"So Ikari, what's between you and her lately?" Kensuke manages to say. "Yea! She's not as pretty as Rei or your lovely Ms. Misato." Touji swoons thinking of Misato.
"He.. Hey you guys! It's nothing like that! Besides, I never knew you guys could get jealous over a girl like her!" Shinji laughs and runs ahead of them. Touji and Kensuke stop looking red-faced and annoyed.
"You know…I prefer the old Shinji…BEFORE he got so cocky!" Touji starts wringing his school bag. "But he's kinda right you know, in fact! You've been paying more attention to the Class Rep lately!" Kensuke slaps Touji's back, sticking a "Miss me sign" on his back.
"WHAAAAAT??? Why you little geek!!!" Touji starts to run after Kensuke, intent on dislocating his head. "Nyhahahahaha!!! Way to go Touji!!! Hahahaha! Woo hoo hooo!" Kensuke runs after Shinji and dodges Touji's attempts at grabbing him.
At the background, the Class Rep and some of her friends had witnessed all that happened, and are laughing their hairs out. "Honestly! Those three are getting weirder every day!" says the Class Rep. "But Touji really has been around a lot more often lately!" One girl giggles.
"Wha.. what? You don't think I like that jerk do you?" The Class Rep goes red and tries to shut up her friends. "Hey where're Rei and Asuka anyway?" One girl asks. "I don't know, maybe they already went to the theatre. "C'mon we'll be late for that new movie!" the Class Rep starts to head down the street.
On an alley close to the school, a cloaked figure had been silently watching all that has been happening. The figure watches the girls leave and looks at the sky.
"...Rei..." The Figure says, then disappears.
Back at Shinji's home, he opens the door and looks inside. "Hello? I'm Back!! Misato-San! Do you mind if Touji and Kensuke could come in?" Shinji enters and hears no response.
"Hmm.. No one home yet... Okay guys, I guess you can come in." Shinji calls out to Touji and Kensuke while putting his bag down on a table. A crash is heard by the door and Shinji turns around to see both Touji and Kensuke both on the floor.
"Wha.. What?? No.. No.. No.. Misato-San isn't here???" Touji cries and shakes Kensukes head. Kensuke is blue faced and needs air. "I guess not you Hentai Ox." Shinji says and heads for the kitchen. Stepping on a lot of junk. He looks down and sees that the whole house is a mess.
"Huh? I don't remember the place being this dirty before. And I don't think Pen-Pen would be this messy. Not after I've lived with him this long..." Shinji thinks and enters the kitchen. "I'll clean the place up later!" He turns his head to look inside the kitchen and what he sees nearly made him jump out the window. "A.. A.. Asuka!!! S.. Sorry!!! Didn't mean to barge in!!!" Shinji shouts.
"Huh? What are you shouting about Shinji?" Touji comes up behind him and sees Asuka wearing her undies cooking something over the grill. His face contorts into the exact expression on Shinjis face. Kensuke comes over. "Hey Ikari, wheres your pet penguin? Is he... heeeerrrreeee!!! Aiyayayay!!" Kensuke, Touji and Shinji all look like triplets.
"Oh hello Shinji-kun! Im just cooking something for Pen-Pen and me. Want some for you and your friends too?" Asuka smiles and points at the food she's cooking. She sees the threes faces and looks down on her body. "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't put a towel on... I'm very sorry!" She says and looks down blushing.
"Don't be!" All three boys say in perfect unison.
"Well I'll go to my room and um... put some clothes on!" Asuka giggles and leaves.
"Oh man... THANK YOU GOD FOR LETTING ME SEE THE GOLDEN PARADISE EDEN!!" Touji kneels on the floor crying, having a nosebleed from the unexpected show. Shinji and Kensuke stand there looking dumb and having a nosebleed too. "What's funny... I didn't know she could cook." Shinji thinks and then looks over to see what Asuka was cooking. Touji and Kaworu are dancing in the background feeling happy. "What???" Shinji shouts. Touji and Kensuke stop their dance looking at Shinji.
"What is it? Is it yummy?" Touji asks. Going to the fridge to see if he could get a drink. "Yummy is not what I had in mind! Tell me! Can you eat fried canned foods!?!" Shinji shouts and Kensuke looks down at the pan. "So she can't really cook, that... Was weird..." Touji says while opening the fridge door. Something black jumps on Touji and he yells out in surprise.
"PEN-PEN???" Shinji says. Pen-Pen gets off Touji and they can see that he's wrapped in electric tape, loads of it. "What happened? Did you annoy Asuka?" Shinji asks while slowly pulling off a bit of electric tape. Pen-Pen squirms a bit and moves towards Asuka's room. "Hey Shinji! That's not how you should do it... Here." Touji takes hold of a bit of electric tape and pulls really hard. Pen-Pen turns into a little tornado and is freed from the evil tape. But squeals out from the pain. "Aah! Sorry Pen-Pen." Touji apologizes. Pen-Pen dashes to Asuka's room motioning the others to follow. The three look at each other and goes after him.
Asuka's door is closed, but Pen-Pen opens it and looks inside. "The whole rooms a mess!" Kensuke says. Shinji looks around. "Hey! Didn't Asuka say that she's gonna be here???" Touji shouts, "Where is she??? She couldn't have left. We would have heard her!" Shinji looks at Pen-Pen and he points at the window which is open.
"What is going on here? Pen-Pen wrapped up... Asuka being nice and the rooms a mess. Hey!!! Wasn't Asuka supposed to go to the theatre with the girls in our class?" Kensuke exclaims. A breeze blows through the window leaving a silent howl... a howl that could have said "...... Rei...... " If you listened carefully...
