Weekend Services Serving Opportunities
We are always looking for great people to join our weekend services team of volunteers! Below are a list of opportunities. If you are feeling called to any of these opportunities, please contact Lauren Brown o request more information.
Media
The GFC media team is primarily responsible for inspiring people toward Christ through visual media. This includes designing series graphics, slides, trailers, bumpers, teaching media, worship media and communications media support.
Stage Design
The stage design team is responsible for creating the design, look, feel, decorum and ambiance for the main auditorium stage area. This includes, building, purchasing, refreshing and researching current designs to always stay new and fresh. This team is on the front lines of what people taste and see when coming to GFC. This team should plan to implement about 5-6 set changes per year.
Producer Team
The Producer team implements and executes the weekend service plan and flow to completion. This team serves as the main hub for communication and coordination on weekends. This team will also lead all pre-service rehearsals, pre-service and post service meetings in order to facilitate moving everyone toward unity in execution.
Hosts
The Host Pastor team is responsible for welcoming, communicating and inspiring people into the life of the church. This team is in many ways one of the first, friendly faces people experience when they come to church. The Host Pastor is also charged with delivering announcements during the service in a way that is inspiring, winsome, and time efficient. The posture of this team is to bring joy and celebration into the service.
Worship Team
The goal of the worship team is to draw the focus of the entire congregation toward God and facilitate their engagement toward Him in worship. God is the audience and the recipient of our worship. The worship team accomplishes this through spiritual leadership and through songs, praises and hymns to the Lord.
Technical Teams (Projection, Lighting, Audio)
The goal of this team is to support the vision of the weekend worship experience through excellent technical, audio and visual support. This team is highly skilled and on the cutting edge of technology at GFC..
Camera Team
The GFC camera team is critical to the online church experience. Most people make a decision to visit church from what they see online. This team captures, in an authentic manner, the heart and feel of GFC, so that others can experience worship with us.
Ushers
The GFC Usher Team is responsible for guiding and directing Grace attendees during weekend services. This team should shepherd people in a loving way that maintains order and direction throughout the entire service. This team is also responsible for receiving all offerings and safely transporting them to the finance ministry.
Prayer Team
This team supports the entire weekend worship time through intercession and exhortation. The prayer team also provides prayer support to all congregants who come forward seeking prayer and guidance.
Communion Team
This team is responsible for prayerfully setting up and organizing communion elements for Communion services. This involves setting up bread and juice elements to serve 2,000 people over a weekend. This team serves together approximately every 5-6 weeks.
Hospitality
This team provides a hospitable environment for all teams serving together in the Preparation Room on weekends. This includes providing cold beverages as well as nourishing meals that fuel the Weekend Services team toward their mission.
Drama Team
The Drama Team guides the congregation toward Jesus through artistic messaging during worship services. The messaging could be accomplished through spoken word, poetry, skits, dramas, monologues, games or comedic humor. (Examples: Kid Drama, TrunktoberFest Man, One Skit)
Communications
The Communications Team is responsible for promoting the ongoing vision, values and priorities of GFC. This will be accomplished in the building and in the region. The communications team should maximize all communication platforms to their fullest potential (social media, bulletins, website, printed materials, verbals, etc.). The Communications Team is on the front lines of connecting people to the church and should always be open to discovering new ways to do so.
