Anderson’s Mill is a reminder of a milling industry that flourished after the gold rush of the 1850’s. Construction of the fascinating five story flour mill started in 1861 and included stables, a grain store and a blue stone office.

The mill closed in 1957 and became one of the first buildings to be included on the historic buildings register in 1974. Much needed repairs were made and the mill was finally purchased by the state government in 1987 and is managed by Parks Victoria.

The original huge water wheel, which once drove the grain mill, should be operating on the day. Free parking is provided for visitors as well as a free shuttle bus service from the car park to the venue.

Entertainment kicks off on Sunday April 3rd at 10am till 4.30pm in the picturesque township of Smeaton. Follow the signs from the Midland Hwy to the relaxing fun filled day for the whole family. Dogs are not permitted at the venue.

Entrance prices are $5 children, $8 seniors, $12 Adults or $30 per family.
