What is an Early Academic Status Report?
Three weeks into the semester, instructors are asked to file an “Early Academic Status Report” for students who are receiving a “D” or “E” grades in their courses. If you are in this situation, you will receive an Early Academic Status Report e-mail suggesting that you contact your instructor and seek out specific resources to improve your grade.
What is an Academic Status Report?
Towards the middle of the semester, instructors are asked to file mid term grade reports for students who are currently receiving a “D” or “E” grade in their course. You will receive an e-mail from ASU suggesting you contact your instructor and outlining specific resources on campus that may improve your grades. Low Academic Status grades do not appear on your transcript, but they need to be taken very seriously, since they are a call to action on your part and often an indicator of poor final grades.
