RULES FOR McDONALD’S M - LEAGUE 2016

  1. Teams applying to play in the “McDonald’sM - League”will pay anapplication fee as outlined below.

ML – 1 $150.00

ML – 2 $125.00

ML – 3 $100.00

  1. 5 match balls will be provided by the MFA to each “McDonald’s M – League team”
  1. All clubs not in finals contention will be charged for 10 tickets to the Gala night at Wests Leagues Club (approx $40.00per ticket ). Clubs that are playing in the Grand Final will be charged for a minimum of 20 tickets as the teams playing in Grand Finals are expected to be in attendance. More tickets will be made available on request.
  1. Nominations for“McDonalds M - League“will consist of one team per application.
  1. Games shall be playedon a home and away basis as allocated by the Fixtures Committee, subject to availability of grounds and referees.
  1. MFA Lanyards with card holders have been provided previously by the Association to be worn by players prior to the start of the game for inspection by the opposition Coach/Manager.
  1. The competition will be played as follows:

(a)A minimum of tworounds as determined by the MFA. The team leading the competition on points at the end of round two will be declared the Premiers.

(b) Where teams finish equal on points the goal difference will decide

the winner.

(c) Should teams still be level in all other aspects they shall play off

to determine the Premiership

(d) Extra time will be played in the finals series. If the score is equal at full time, 15 minutes each way will be played. If still equal, at the completion of extra time, a penalty shoot out will determine the winner.

(e)The winner of the “McDonald’s M – League” (ML – 1)

Premiership, as per 7 (a) above shall be the Association’s

nominee in theappropriate Football NSW “Champion of

Champions” competition

  1. Playing shirts must be numbered and only registered colours of the club may be worn by all “McDonald’s M – League” teams as approved by the MFA
  1. Selected“McDonald’s M - League”games may be played onthe Association’s ground at Lynwood Park.
  1. Clubs with appropriate lighting may apply to play Saturday night matches. The opposing club must agree to the fixture change, night games will not be automatically granted.
  1. Players from lower All Age divisions and down to under 17’s (providing they have turned 16 on 1st January in the competitions calendar year) may be borrowed into any M – League Division.

(a)Players may be borrowed as per Law 140 of the constitutional

By-laws i.e. players can only be borrowed four times on the fifth

time that player automatically becomes part of the squad.

  1. Clubs can request a regrade for any “McDonald’s M - League” player after the first matchof the “McDonald’s M - League” competition at the standard fee. Such regraded players cannot however, be borrowed again for “McDonald’s M - League” games for the remainder of the season.
  1. All other Competition rules and By laws of MFA apply to the “McDonalds’s M - League” competitions.
  1. The finals Series will consist of a 4 team 3 week format

  1. Prize money, as determined by the Board of Directors will be awarded to both Premiers and Champions in the following ratio:

Champions 50% of prize money pool

  1. ML – 1 ONLY ML – 1 shall be played under substitution rule and not interchange. Each team in ML – 1 shall be permitted to make five (5) substitutes from the 16 players listed on the official match card.
  1. Gala Dinner Awards will be for alldivisions .i.e. Golden boot, Player of the year, Goalkeeper of the year, Coach of the year etc.
