Consignment Agreement
PRICING – Scallywag’s Consignment Furniture reserves the right to determine the actual selling price of all items. If, at any time, we feel we need to adjust the price of your merchandise, you will be consulted prior to the adjustment.
MARKDOWNS – will follow a 10% reduction for every 20 days your items are on our sales floor. Additional reductions may apply during periodic sales or specials.
PAYMENTS – You, the consignor, will receive 50% of the selling price. Checks will be ready for you to pick-up at the store by the 5th of the month for the previous month’s sales.
(Out of town checks only will be mailed on the 5th of each month and will have $2.00 deducted to cover postage and handling. o I choose to have my checks mailed. Initial here ______)
EXPIRED ITEMS – Consignor agrees to allow Scallywag’s Consignment Furniture to market items for a period of 80 days. If your items have not sold at the end of this period, you will have 10 days from the contract end date to retrieve your items. This date is printed boldly at the top of this agreement. * Please remember this date.* Your only responsibility is to notify us, at least one day in advance, of your intensions to pick up your items.
all merchandise left past the last pick up date will become the property of scallywag’s consignment furniture. WE WILL DONATE OR DISPOSE OF YOUR ITEMS WITH NO FURTHER NOTICE OR PAYMENT TO YOU.
INSURANCE – We will take exceptional care of the articles you consign and have fire insurance coverage on the building contents, however, merchandise is yours until sold. You may want to notify your insurance carrier that these items are on consignment. Theft and damage can occur and Scallywag’s is not responsible for this loss. Our liability will be limited to making appropriate and timely payment to you for any of your items that we sell during the consignment period.
This Consignment Agreement constitutes the total agreement between the parties. As the consignor, I acknowledge that all items presented are mine to sell and are free of all liens and encumbrances.
