The Range “MEET THE BUYER”DAY

GIMA is pleased to announce that we are organising a “Meet the Buyer" day with The Range to be held on Thursday19th May, 2016.

The Ranges’ ethos is to present mid-price home, leisure and garden products, drawing together everything that could be needed for a stylish home, all at affordable prices. Our event is being held with thegardening buying team who are interested is seeing potential new suppliers who have new products or innovations that will be of interest to their customers, rather than a presentation of everyday ranges that they might usually see. All gardening categories will be covered except BBQs and Garden Furniture.

This event is not open to existing suppliers of The Range, or those who have recently been in contact with the buying team there. If you are not sure if that covers you, please ask, and we will check for you.

Suppliers must have the ability to offer competitive prices, and have sufficient capacity to supply all 118 stores. Suppliers should also have the resource to provide the necessary technical back up and information as necessary. Exact lead times and approximate stock holdings should also be advised.

Before attending your appointment, please ensure that you have visited some stores to get a better understanding of The Range enabling you to understand and present what you can bring to the gardening department as a supplier.

A maximum of two people from each supplier company will be allowed to attend.

Next Steps:

  1. Complete and return the attached form indicating brief details of the product or range that you are proposing to present. Please also tell us who will be attending and provide a mobile contact number in case of any problems on the day.
  2. Appointments will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
  3. We will notify you of your appointment and you will be allocated a 20 minute appointment with the relevant buyer.
  4. To offset the cost of the event there will be a charge of £95+VAT for GIMA membersand £145+VAT for Non Members which will be payable at that stage.
  5. Once we receive your payment we will send you final details approximately 10 days prior to the event.
