Voter’s Assembly:Sunday, June 26, to elect congregational officers. Ballots will be available at the beginning of the church service on Sunday morning and can be filled out and placed in the offering plate. Please sign in as you take a ballot and remain after the service for a brief meeting and announcement of results.

LWML assembly: Sunday June 12, 2 pm in the church social room. Don’t forget your “gifts of the heart”. Anyone who would like to contribute to “gifts of the heart” is welcome to place items in the box in back of church.

“Now is the Time” is the theme for the LWML convention, June 17-18 in Norfolk.ALL women are invited to join us for one or both days as we celebrate in fellowship, song, mission projects and grow in His word. See the “Purple” display in the back of church for information and registration forms. We’d love to have you join us!

Open House: Saturday, July 16, 2-4 pm at St. John’s Pilger. Pastor Makelin invites everyone to stop by and see the newly constructed facility, sign the guest book and have a treat and drink. “Naturally our goal is that these facilities are pleasing in God’s sight, but we are also humbly aware of the tremendous blessings of our fellow members of the body of Christ who helped, donated, volunteered, and have given their time, talents and treasures when St. John’s and the community of Pilger was destroyed. So please, come and check it out.”

Mission-fest at Zion St. John LCMS, Wisner,June 12, 10:30 am. You are invited to hear about theological education and the Church in South Africa! We welcome Pastor Christopher Maronde from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lincoln, who will preach during the service and also present to us about St. Philip Lutheran Mission Society, which supports the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Tschwane, Praetoria, South Africa. Service begins at10:30, followed by lunch (free-will offering goes to missions), and concluding with Pastor Maronde's mission presentation. See you there!
