Responsible for / Fundraising Events Officer, Trust & Foundation Officer, Fundraising Communications Assistant
Role purpose and dimension / ·  Primary responsibility for generating income from profit-making organisations
·  To establish and deliver a programme for engaging and cultivating strategic partners from the commercial sector
·  To oversee the work of the Trusts & Foundations Officer, supporting the delivery of the trust fundraising strategy and income
·  Line management of three staff members

Financial dimensions / ·  With the Fundraising Director, work towards a corporate fundraising target of £50k in 2018
·  Take ownership for managing, monitoring and reporting on the budget for income and expenditure in relation to corporate fundraising
·  Support the Trusts & Foundations Officer in achieving a target of £100k in 2018
Key areas for decision making / ·  Support the Fundraising Director in the development of high-level strategies for partnership fundraising (corporates and trusts / foundations)
·  Independent thinking to make decisions and exercise judgement in relation to individual partnerships and the programme as a whole, making recommendations to the Fundraising Director on strands of activity
·  Liaise directly with other fundraising team members to capitalise on activity across other income streams (and charity departments) that may facilitate partnership fundraising, making recommendations to the Fundraising Director on identified opportunities
·  Continual assessment of the cost-benefit ratio of fundraising activities, making recommendations to the Fundraising Director on where investment should be focused

Key Result Areas / Key Elements
Corporate fundraising target / ·  Meet an initial annual target of £50k from major donor fundraising
·  Convert existing and new corporate prospects into strategic partners with long term, repeat income projections
Implement a partnership programme / ·  Support the Fundraising Director in the strategic development of a comprehensive partnership programme to launch in 2018
·  Support the planning and delivery of all elements of the programme including promotional materials, launch, engagement activities, benefits package and overall case for support
·  Work closely with the Fundraising Director to proactively promote involvement and support from Trustees and the Development Board
Corporate relationships / ·  Cultivate and grow the corporate pipeline taking a research-driven, focused and targeted approach to relationship building with an emphasis on face-to-face interactions, uncovering the strategic priorities, commercial agenda and cultural fit of potential corporate partners
·  Establish the key decision makers and influencers within an organisation, finding inventive ways to achieve cut-through and traction
·  To ensure at all times that compliance with data protection regulations is adhered to and enforced
·  To develop compelling partnership propositions and be confident in making the ask
·  To ensure best practise stewardship with a particular focus on reporting, recognition and acknowledgement in addition to a planned calendar of engagement events and activities
·  Work collaboratively with senior representatives across relevant charity departments, involving senior executives, Trustees and the Development Board where appropriate
Trust and foundations / ·  Support the Fundraising Director to implement the trust fundraising strategy
·  Work closely with the Trusts & Foundations Officer to oversee:
a)  The development of the pipeline
b)  The development of individual opportunities and matching priority fundraising projects to suitable funders
c)  The creation of funding proposals with a focus on quality and professionalism
d)  Reporting and stewardship
Management / ·  Line management of the Trusts & Foundations Officer, Fundraising Events Officer and Fundraising Communications Assistant
·  Conduct regular 121s to monitor ongoing activity and performance against objectives
·  Follow internal supervision and appraisal processes
Collaborative working across teams / ·  Work with relevant charity teams to support the on-going development of a ‘wishlist’ of projects for external fundraising proposals including Health & Welfare and Creative Programming, ensuring open dialogue with fundraising team members to avoid crossover and repetition
·  Liaise with teams across the charity to uncover engagement and stewardship opportunities e.g. music events and awards ceremonies
·  Work with the Fundraising Director to support teams in Northern Island, Scotland and any future regional and national clusters across corporate, events and trust fundraising activity, ensuring a coordinated and consistent approach
·  Work closely with Communications, Health & Welfare and Creative Programming to identify existing charity contacts who may have connections with potential strategic partners
·  Maintain a close working relationship with the Music Liaison Executive to facilitate business development activities, exploiting opportunities for income generation e.g. corporate sponsorship, event fundraising
Monitoring and recording activity and ROI / ·  Record all interactions and prospecting activity on the database system and take responsibility for managing the corporate pipeline
·  Regular reporting to the Fundraising Director on prospecting activity and projected income
·  Monitoring of expenditure against the budget for corporate fundraising
·  Supporting the Fundraising Director in calculating ROI against corporate fundraising activity
Sector knowledge and partnership fundraising specialism / ·  To constantly assess the marketplace for new trends in partnership fundraising
·  To keep up to date with the work of similar / comparable charities, drawing out specific examples and making recommendations to the team as a corporate fundraising specialist around how to position HMUK as an innovator and sector-leader

Essential experience / ·  At least five years experience within corporate fundraising, ideally in the arts / culture / charity sector
·  A track record of developing partnerships worth five figures or more
·  Experience of implementing and managing a partnership programme or scheme
·  Experience of working with a variety of corporate partners from different sectors
·  Experience of growing a pipeline of corporate prospects across all stages of solicitation, from cold through to conversion including making the ask
·  Experience of successfully working towards an agreed financial target
