Key Account Director, Datamonitor Healthcare

The Key Account Director will be responsible for leading specific sales, sourcing new clients and building new relationships, maintaining existing client relationships, achieving and exceeding sales goals, and implementing creative sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving and exceeding challenging revenue targets and sales objectives, as defined by the Healthcare Sales VP.
  • Increase the growth potential in existing accounts and acquiring new clients in a competitive sales environment.
  • Cementing key relationships
  • Determining client needs for volume and value business and tiered products at differing price points
  • Leading a number of projects and initiatives, focusing on increasing the efficiency and productivity of the Sales team.
  • Manage, direct and self motivate for both account management and new business.
  • Present and negotiate up to Board level in any organization

Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated top performer looking to take your next challenge in your field of expertise
  • Proven track record of outstanding sales performance.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience in Account Management, ideally with selling into the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology vertical
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues and developments within the Healthcare and overall Pharmaceuticals industry
  • Determined capacity to penetrate large corporate accounts
  • Enthusiastic, competitive, results-driven and solutions-orientated with a strong work ethic and integrity
  • Strong team player and superb interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated good business acumen is vital
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers
  • Ability to consult with clients and solve a business problem with the application of our products or services
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term customer relationships with senior-level managers
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging environment requiring high degree of deadline-driven productivity, commitment, adaptability, communication, initiative and follow-through
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
