Fishing

Currarong is the closest boat launch area to the Sir Joseph Banks fishing grounds. Beach and boat fishing are popular local pursuits.

Bush Walks

There are a number of varied bushwalks on the Beecroft Headland. See Map. The Wreck to Wreck Heritage walk starts from Peel St. The Navy’s Beecroft Weapons Range on Point Perpendicular has walking tracks to Target Beach, Honeymoon Bay and other locations. Swimming and surfing

Currarong beach and creek are local swimming spots. Further along the foreshore is the natural rock pool and Abraham’s Bosom Beach

Plutus Reef,Lobster Island and “Windy” are well-known surfing spots.

Currarong Arts & Crafts Centre

In the old Fire Services building at the intersection of The Parkway and Walton Way, is the Arts and Crafts centre where items made by local residents are for sale.

Stuarts Bus Company provides a weekday service twice a day to/from Nowra. Bus timetables are available at the General store.

Currarong is a dog friendly town,but is essentially “on leash” apart from the signposted “off leash” areas and times around the streets, reserves and beaches.
