Project details: Bank was in a practice of using BankMate and in 2003 decided to implement system as its core banking solutions for Consumer and Corporate Banking The project involved migrating the legacy systems
data for the entire 34 branches and Head Office , banks business process re-engineering ,user acceptance testing
for new system and live and post live activities . My role was leading the UAT and data migration team and
also to look after site specific enhancements and onsite interface development with third party systems
like Oracle CRM .
Project name: Product UBS Release . Complete Redesign and Development of Consumer Loans for Retail Banking . July03-Apr04

This project aimed at redesigning the existing Consumer Loans module of product to handle Banks requirement
and other identified gaps in the module in a generic way . I was a part of four member design team .
My role was to understand the existing module completely , analyze requirements and other
identified gaps and implement in a product generic way. Apart from functionally redesigning the screens
for Product Additions and Account Schedule Generations options in order to fulfill various types of schedule requirements ,
key feature of this project was to implement entire business logic in backend .
Oracle 9i objects types , packages were used extensively to implement the same .

to achieve best possible usage and output of system for banks using it with minimum online down time and
smooth and quick execution of batch processes . During the assignment I also did some Pre Sales support by

decoupling Service Charges definitions and calculations from product definitions as a new and separate module,
backdated interest rate and variances definitions for current and savings accounts .

Project details: Core Banking Product Implementation at Bank was a complete rollout of
32 branches and Head Office on UBS system. The project covered 3 rounds of UAT , data migration ,
Japanisation of system to display screen labels and error messages in Japanese script
, NLS support in system to enable input of multibyte Kanji script data . My role was of a
senior team member and I was involved in all the above mentioned activities from time to time
and also on implementation of onsite interfaces and other developments done on site .
Shinsei Bank went live on system after a three months of parallel run where transaction input
and reconciliation used to happen between the banks legacy system and new system .
Post Live , I was part of the onsite support team for three months which
worked towards streamlining processes and fine tuning systems performance .

Project details: This Bank marked Core Banking Systems entry into Japanese Market .
Before implementation of system there was a full scale onsite study and development of Online Interfaces .
As part of this project I was involved in developing Online Clearing System interface with Zengin .
Zengin is a network of Japanese banks maintained by NTT which enables banks to do away with
physical instrument based clearing (similar to newly introduced RTGS in India). Bank had a AS400 based system
which used to communicate with Zengin network .We developed an online interface in CoreBanking system
using MQ Series messaging to communicate with AS400 which in turn communicates with Zengin .
Also transactions and validations engines were build to perform inter bank funds transfers using Zengin network .
Other interfaces developed includes FX Engine : XML based online interface with a third party system which
downloads foreign exchange rates from Reuters , customer addition and account opening interfaces with Siebel CRM .
