August /
  • annual APA conference in Toronto, Ontario
  • Read All Reports prior to APA
  • Attend annual psi beta business meeting during APA
  • install new officers, approve annual budget, begin planning Psi Beta programming for next year’s APA and APS conferences
  • Present and/or attendallpsi beta programs at APA
  • announce and present awards at annual social/awards hour
  • Submit APA Conference receipts to Executive Director within 60 days
  • Each VP - Plan to write one (1) article for the newsletter during your 2-year tenure
  • Executive director will issue call for nominations by end of august– we have VP vacancies in these regionals: SW and SE, possibly in E

September /
  • Conference call to work further on APA, APS Psi Beta programming, discuss Executive Director Hiring and Evaluation Procedure in our Governance Policy, approve 2015-2016 budget
  • Vice Presidents:Begin to plan a psi beta program for your regional Conference. Examples of Psi Beta Regional Conference Activities:
  • An Innovations in teaching panel
  • Psi beta sponsored distinguished speaker
  • Psi Beta chapter exchange
  • Psi Beta poster session
  • Psi Beta / Psi Chi /PT@CC Joint event(s) of some type (e.g., leadership)
  • APA’s Educational Leadership Conference – October 17-20, 2015,Washington, DC
  • Nominations for VP openings will close on September 30, 2015

  • During this month – vice presidents send mail or email to colleges in region:
  • Letter of introduction/reintroduction to existing chapters
  • letter urging reactivation to inactive chapters
  • letter urging remaining colleges in region to begin a chapter
  • Oct. 1 – newsletter submission deadline
  • Oct. 15 – newsletter goes online
  • Executive Director files 990 with irs
  • NEPA– October 9-10 at Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg, MA

November / Voting Period for VP openings ends – November 1st, 2015
December /

  • Executive Director files annual report with achs
  • New Vice President(s) announced
