CONNECTICUT YOUTH FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING LEAGUE
APRIL 10, 2014 MEETING MINUTES
Commissioner Charlie Carroll called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. The CTYFL’s new Commissioner, Charlie Carroll was introduced, along with the all the board members.

Coaches’ Clinic is scheduled for Saturday, July 26. Please contact Charlie Carroll is there is anything specific the Towns want to have presented there.
Doug Mosby – Deputy Commissioner
-Reported that there were no updates.
Mark Holmes – Treasurer
-Reported that there were no updates.
-Reported that proceeds from the Cheer Competition would be distributed to each Town. Each Town received a $735 check.
-Noted that for any Town that has not cashed their past refund checks, this money will now be applied towards that specific Town’s dues for this year.
-Amount for dues will not change for this year.
Members are needed for the Scheduling Committee.
Scholarships –Applications are due April 15. To date, six applications have been received.
Jenn Sass Dragan – Assistant Cheer Coordinator
-Reported that the 2014 Competition has been scheduled for Saturday, October 25, and a new location is needed as Berlin High School is under construction. The venue will need to hold between 1,500 and 1,600 people and have two gyms.
-November 8 is the State’s competition, but it is unknown at this time whether we will participate.
NEW BUSINESS:
Glastonbury has requested a color change with their helmets and Berlin would like their shirts to be the same as the high school.
At the June meeting, all towns will need to declare the number of teams they will have on their roster.
New Hartford has been authorized to draw from Torrington for their A and D squads
Haddam/Killingworth has asked to draw from Chester, Essex and Deep River.
USA Football and “Heads Up Football” will be giving a presentation tonight.
