HW: OPTIONAL: For those of you who plan to retake the sentence structure quiz (given Fri. Oct. 12 at nutrition) this would be a good time to go on-line and practice sentence structure. You could google something like:
Sentence structure compound complex quiz and you will come to some sites that offer quizzes and other info.

Wed. Oct. 10:
Note: I am attending a meeting; there will be a sub.
In-class: essay on rhetorical analysis (similar to the one your wrote on deCrevecoeur). This time your essays will be peer graded. Next week we will look at the AP rubric and discuss how to score sample essays on the rubric. You will then work with your classmates to score some of these essays. Since this will be peer graded, points will be given for writing this essay (assuming that you try!) and the score that you are assigned by your peers will not affect your grade.
HW: work on R/R essay!
Thurs. Oct. 11
In-class: info. on works cited page + ?
HW: works cited page for your R/R paper (with at least 5 sources) due Friday
Fri. Oct. 11:
In-class: Review works cited page + ?
NUTRITION = MAKE-UP QUIZ FOR SENTENCE STRUCTURE. If you choose to make up the quiz, I will REPLACE your previous quiz score with this quiz (assuming the new quiz score is better!)
HW; R/R paper is due Tue. Oct.16. Submit to turnitin. Attach all the previous work (2 sample body paragraphs, outline + rough draft of works cited) 200 points. Good luck!
Reflections Contest – good for one homework pass (can also be used to give up to today’s extension on major assignments). See school website for information. Must enter in literature + must submit the forms that are on the website. See their rules for how to format the entry. Turn it into me by OCT. 22 and I will submit it to the contest by Oct. 26
