We are pleased to have gained a new member of staff for our Children in Need project. Sophie Demarinis joined us in January as our Child & Family Support Worker. We continue to change with the times and demand here at Home-Start Flintshire. Sophie is therefore playing an important role in diversify our scheme’s approach to enhancing the service we provide for families accorss Flinthsire.
Thanks to your awesome support so far you have helped raise £915.12through the Co-operative Local Community Fund for Home-Start Flinthsire, and you are adding to our total every time you buy selected Co-op brand products from Co-op stores and funeral homes.
There is still 4 weeks to spread the word and get more Co-op card members to back our cause. Members who haven’t yet chosen a cause in our community have built up £5339.32 If we can attract more Co-op Membership card holders to choose Home-Start Flintshire, we could boost our final total. The money donated from this community project will be put back into the community through our work with families across Flinthshire. Supporting Homeless & Assisting Refugees Everywhere
The Refugees & Homeless Aid Centre for North Wales is a central hub for donated clothes, tents, sleeping bags, toiletries, water proofs etc. for the homeless in our community and also for crisis relief such as the current refugee crisis in Europe.
SHARE headquarters in Mold, is a central hub, where people can send donations of aid to support those in need both locally and abroad.

Our next Volunteer Preparation Course is due to begin on 10th & 11th (evening) 12th (daytime) May and will run into June, but not during the week of half term.
