Eligibility:
All swimmers must be registered with Swim BC or FINA affiliated organization.
Age groups are based on the age of the swimmer as of January 30, 2016.
Age groups will be 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 13 & Over.
Maximum of 5 individual events per swimmer.
This is a development meet for swimmers who have not yet met the 4:00 time standard for the 200 IM.
Fees:
$7.00 per individual entry.
No SwimBC or Okanagan Region Splash Fees.
Meet Rules:
All Swim BC & SNC rules will apply. The one start rule will apply. All events are timed finals.
Entries:
Hytek entry files should be emailed to JoAnne Kleb, Meet Registrar, by Friday January 22, 2016. All entries must be accompanied by the swimmer’s Swim BC registration number. Scratches and changes will be accepted until Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at which time fees will be calculated.
Swimmers must have a time of 4:30 or less to be entered in the 200IM. Swimmers entered in the 200IM with times slower that 4:30 will be moved to the 100IM.
Swimmers may enter either the 100IM or 200IM, but not both.
Swimmers may enter either the 100 Free or 200 Free, but not both.
Deck entries: Deck entries will be accepted (for swimmers preregistered in the meet) at the discretion of the Meet Manager. Any request for a Deck entry must come directly from the coach and be accompanied by the full fee, in CASH. $10.00 per individual entry. Deck entries must be received by 10:00am in order to be considered.
Refunds: Swimmers who are required to scratch from the meet due to medical reasons may submit a medical certificate in order to receive a refund of meet fees. This applies only to MEET scratches, not to Event scratches.
In order to ensure that the meet runs within the allotted time, meet management reserves the right to limit the number of heats.
Deadline:
All entries must be received by the Meet Registrar no later than FRIDAY, January 22, 2016.
Seeding:
· Entries will be submitted as per event numbers
· All events will be run as mixed gender and open seeded
· Results will be separated by gender and age groups (as shown in “Eligibility”)
· All events will be timed finals, seeded slowest to fastest
· Swimmers having no times will be placed in the slowest heats
Awards:
Best Time ribbons will be awarded.
Ribbons will be awarded for the 1st to 8th places in the individual events.
Scratches:
All scratches are to be given to the Meet Manager no later than 9:30am, on forms provided. This will ensure that we have space for Deck Entries.
