  • Jane proposes crafting position statement from COC regarding central intake, common assessment, and service. Position will be based on HUD’s definitive guidance.

Renewal app due February 3

  • Letter of support from COC will go in with application.
  • PIT – January 25, 2017
  • Westland found eight individuals. Livonia housing commission found zero. Wyandotte counted three. Christnet found three. Information disseminated was helpful but would be more helpful if it was provided earlier. Suggesting hard boundaries for next year so teams know where they’re going. Contact police authorities in boundary. Form a PIT count team for next year. Committee structures will be revised next meeting.

  • HCV/PBV waitlist

7.Other Issues/Additions/New Business

Lakeshore Legal has opened a Riverview office. Goals are to reduce poverty and work on housing, identify needs, and identify bad actors in the community (landlords, housing that wrongfully evict). Ultimate goal is to bring more cases against bad landlords.
