Summary

This position facilitates the coordination of data and communication between the Sales and Procurement departments to provide up to date information for inventory management and sales planning. The incumbent uses considerable analytical and technical skill to create reports, maintain existing spreadsheets and provide risk analysis to departmental managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manages the data for the Sales Plan for all product lines in coordination with Sales and Procurement departments. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of availability, allocation, contracts, pricing and trends.

• Responsible for data input, analysis and maintenance of the frozen fruit pack plan specific to the IQF Frozen line

• Assist with the forecasting/budgeting/reforecasting process for the IQF Frozen line.

• Responsible to coordinate planning for Core products and MicroDried products

2. Report generation using the MS Dynamics – NAV system. Extracting and compiling data into useful, clear and timely reports for distribution within the Sales department and companywide using Jet Reports, Excel and other software tools.

• Sales forecast reports

• Broker volume reports

• Inventory reports

• Contract balance reports

• Contract reconciliation

3. Research, state and distribute regular position updates detailing current inventory, contracts and anticipated needs for each fruit.

4. Analyze and prepare reports of specified crops for the Sales management team to use in allocation planning.

5. Cross-train in the Sales Assistant position sufficient to answer regular questions and provide desk coverage during planned and unplanned absences.

6. Position requires detailed use of Microsoft Dynamics-NAV, Jet Reports and Excel.

7. Assist with special projects, duties, and/or assignments. All other duties as assigned.

8. Regular attendance during established business hours is an essential requirement of the position.

Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED required. BS/BA from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Finance or closely related field preferred. APICS certification preferred.

• Three years’ experience in administrative and/or sales analysis work. Experience in agricultural business and/or industrial ingredient sales strongly preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills

• Ability to use ERP data base and reporting tools to create sales reports and analysis. Experience with Jet Reports and Microsoft Dynamics-NAV preferred.

• An equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Language Skills

• Excellent oral/written communication skills to coordinate knowledge from different sources into a comprehensive and accurate plan understood by all principles.

• Ability to read and comprehend English.

• Ability to relate well with all level’s of MFP staff, growers, suppliers, customers and other business people. Because of considerable interaction with all groups, effective language and human relations skills are essential.

• Professional writing skills to compose memos, letters and other business correspondence observing all rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Mathematical Skills

• Quantitative skills to analyze product and production vis-à-vis sales goals and customer orders.

• Ability to analyze market sales data and make recommendations.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to work independently in absence of direct supervision; analyzing and identifying critical success factors relating to sales and take effective action.

• Ability to make decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment, maintain confidentiality and make timely decisions.

• Ability to manage details and comprehend the full scope of Sales and Marketing’s goals.

Environmental Conditions

• Ability to use keyboard and monitor.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
