Graphic Design Tender

Earagail Arts Festival is seeking tenders for the provision ofcontract services of a Graphic Designer for the design of the 52 page printed programme for the 30th anniversary of the festival.

Introduction

Earagail Arts Festival

Earagail Arts Festival is Donegal’s premier celebration of local, national and international culture and one of the largest arts festivals in Ireland. Over 40,000 people from across Donegal and around the world attend approximately 100 events in 35 venues spread over 19 towns over 20 days and nights across the North West of Ireland. Earagail Arts Festival Management Company CLGis a not-for profit, registered charity.

Earagail Arts Festival celebrates its 30th birthday between 11th and 29th July 2018.

Terms

While it is envisaged that the Graphic Designer will work from their own workspace, the task will require the successful provider to allow for regular meetings with festival staff in Donegal and in the final proofing that the Graphic Designer will work in tandem, with the Festival Marketing Managerand CEO at the designers place of work to complete the brochure.

Budget

The maximum Budget for the delivery of this Service is €2,000 (including VAT, Project Fee, Office and Communication expenses, Travel and all other expenses).

The Role

  1. Provisional Schedule

19thMarch – 2nd April 2018

Liaison with EAF staff on format and brand identity.

4th April – 16th April 2018

EAF supply of stage 1 content, text and images for brochure.

23rd April2018

Delivery of first draft brochure design.

4th May 2018

Delivery of final brochure design.

  1. Design of 52 page print brochure in consultation with Festival CEO /Artistic Director andMarketing Manager.
  1. Liaison with printers in supply of print ready artwork.

Line Management

The role will report to the EAF CEO /Artistic DirectorandMarketing Manager.

Experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • have a proven track record ingraphic design
  • be used to working in a busy and pressured working environment
  • have experience of presenting projects, ideas, concepts to Clients, Directors etc
  • have experience of liaising with print companies and delivery of print-ready formats

Irish language

Proficiency in the Irish Language would be advantageous

Selection Criteria

In the selection of the Graphic Designer, the following criteria will apply and will be weighted accordingly -

Portfolio - 40%

Graphic DesignIndustry Experience - 30%

Price Quoted - 30%

Your tender should include a portfolio of previous work and outline your experience in terms of the delivery of similar projects to-date, Your proposal should also include an overall costing for the delivery of the service. Please also include any additional information that you consider is relevant to your proposed delivery of this service.
