Advocacy – CCAL retains a full-time lobbyist who advocates on behalf of your interests. The 2018 RegularSession convenes on Monday, March 12, 2018 and ends on Monday, June 4, 2018.

Continuing Education Opportunities – Each year, CCAL hosts two 2-day educational and fun conferences where CCAL members can obtain their required CE clock hours, network and update their knowledge and expertise in early childhood education.Our 2018 Conference dates are as follows: Spring – February 23 & 24, 2018 Fall – November 2 & 3, 2018. Both conferences will be held at the West Baton Rouge Conference Center in Port Allen, Louisiana

Technical Assistance – CCAL members are able to obtain technical assistance. If you run into regulatory snags with the Louisiana Department of Education, the Louisiana Department of Health, the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the Louisiana State Police, the Louisiana Workforce Committee – technical assistance is just a phone call away!

Voluntary Enrollment Health Insurance Plans - CCAL members are eligible to participate in a variety of voluntary enrollment health insurance plans, offered through a payroll deduction program. Most health insurance plans require the entire group to enroll but the CCAL sponsored program does not require 100% participation from all employees. Insurance products, including limited benefit health insurance, disability and dental coverage is offered through our partnership with theShiloh Group.

Discounts on products and supplies - CCAL members are eligible to purchase products and supplies at the state negotiated discounts. More information about the State Purchasing program is available on our website. CCAL members also have access to our Associate Members, most of whom who offer preferred rates and discounts to CCAL members on products and services

For 2018, 10% ofactive membershipduesis allocable to lobbying activities and therefore, nondeductible as a business expense.
