I am very excited to teach this class and I hope you will have a successful and enjoyable experience. In order to create a respectful classroom environment which encourages learning you are expected to follow these rules.
- Arrive to class on time. You need to be seated and ready for work when the second bell rings unless you have a pass. Continued tardiness mayresult in a loss of daily class participation points.
- Come prepared. Bring any necessarymaterials including headphones and cell phone (if you have one)to class everyday. You will not be allowed to miss class time to go to your locker if continually unprepared.
- Participate in verbal and online class discussions in an orderly, courteous, respectful fashion. Raise your hand when you have ideas to share.
- Listen to directions given and to others during class discussion. You will be amazed how much you will learn and how many fewer questions you will have.
- Group work is an important part of this class. You are expected to work efficiently with the individuals assigned. Everyone needs to participate and do their share.
- Complete assignments on time. Late work can be submitted for half credit.
- After an absence, see me regarding any in class work or homework assignments you may have missed. You have 2 days after an excused absence to make up missed work.
- Food and drinks areallowed. Students must be responsible and respectful including keeping liquids away from the equipment and cleaning up after themselves or this privilege may be lost.
- Remain seated and continue working until you are excused when the bell rings at the end of the hour.
- At no time will DISRESPECTFUL behavior be tolerated.
You are RESPONSIBLE for your behavior.
