This seminar has three purposes. The first goal is for you to add to and refine your pedagogical, creative, discipline-based arsenal in order to be successful in the classroom. Second, we will address related issues and problems that you are confronting in the classroom. Finally, we cover activities and processes that will foster professional growth.....like getting and keeping a job!

Your final grade will be determined by your achievement on the following areas:

Assessment project 125 points

Questions for guest speakers 20 points

History Day assignment 40 points

Peer lesson review 70 points

Final reflection 20 points

"Portfolio" of lessons meeting all 10 NCSS standards 125 points

[All ten standards must be taught at least once}

400 total points

ALL WORK MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE LETTER GRADE IS ASSIGNED
