Relationship With God the Father

NOTE: Jesus is excited because the 72 he'd sent out to preach just prior to his death had worked miracles in defiance of the demons and of Satan himself. He knew he'd be leaving the kingdom in good hands.
Luke 11:13"If you then, though you are evil, know how to give ______to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who _____ him!"
How does God know we love him (John 14:15, 31)? ______Will smiling and singing hymns prove we love him? ______

If someone acts very holy and says how much they love God but does not speak the words of God, even after being shown, are they trying to impress you or God? ______Has God really sent them? ______Would you consider them harmless? ______

The word translated "billows" is from the Greek word breath or vapour. In the O.T. smoke represented the presence of God at a particular location.

This phrase "billows of smoke" could also be translated "breath of God's glory."

Do we prefer to be praised by our friends or God? ______

How do we know God's Holy Spirit has poured out his love to us (Romans 15:4, pg. 1102)? ______

Therefore, what types of things should we let our bodies do? ______

And what a price we were bought for. What was it (Revelation 5:9, pg. 1195)? ______

NOTE: In this case, Paul is giving a personal opinion. Whenever he did this, he so stated. He gave his opinion in 1 Corinthians 7:25 and 11:1-16, and so stated (see KJV).

However, when people say it, do they/we always mean it? Is Jesus Lord of our life? Jesus stipulated over and over that what is the proof of our making him Lord (John 14:15)? ______
2 Corinthians 1:22(pg. 1119) [God] set his ______of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a ______, guaranteeing what is to come.
NOTE: The comments in Revelation 9:4 (pg. 1197) about having the seal on our forehead is just changing a noun (name of something) into a verb (an action).
When we purchase a house but need to go to the bank to borrow the money, what do we do to get a guarantee that we can have the house once we get our loan? ______
2 Corinthians 3:3You should know that you are a ______from Christ, the result of our ministry, ______not with ______but with the Spirit of the living God, not on ______of stone but on tablets of human ______.
NOTE: Having the Holy Spirit is not just a feeling. It is an action.

Revelation 9:4 (pg. 1197) talks about having a seal on our foreheads so we can be saved. That seal (a noun/name) is explained here as a verb/action. What is the seal/being sealed? ______
Ephesians 1:17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of ______and ______.
NOTE: Paul's letter to the Ephesians is deep and exciting. These were mature Christians. 1 Timothy 1:3 says that Timothy was there a long time. Since John was exiled to the island Patmos when he wrote Revelation, and it is off the coast of Ephesus, many believe John lived there too. If John did, he may have taken Mary, Jesus' mother with him if she were still alive. Paul was praying for this mature congregation to receive the gift of revelation.
Ephesians 2:21fIn him [Jesus] the whole ______is joined together and rises to become a holy ______to the Lord. And in him you too are being built ______to become a ______in which God ______by his spirit.

In fact, the church exists to explain it to principalities and powers in heavenly places (3:10). We Christians have more influence than we realize.
