Gilgen automatic sliding door installation - fire-rated EI 30

Gilgen automatic sliding door installation, TÜV-tested for conformity with EN 16005 and DIN 18650.

Gilgen SLX-M-B or SLX-V-B sliding door drive unit in combination fire-rated door leaves tested to EN 1363-1 and EN 1634-1 standards (fire-rated application according to Swiss association of fire insurance companies VKF).

Emergency exit/escape route fittings tested to EN 179 or EN 1125 standards.

Elegant integration into the sliding door drive unit of all actuating components.

An electronic control unit with an automatic reversing and stopping mechanism provides gap-hazard detection.

Drive case covering

Drive-mechanism and control functions/components

Fire-prevention standard

The emergency operating function closes and locks the sliding fire-rated door automatically in the event of a power failure, fire alarm, or actuation of the manual activation button. The system continuously monitors the battery's charge level to ensure that it will work in an emergency.

Pressure on the illuminated push-button installed adjacent to the sliding door opens the door and then automatically closes it again.

Once the fire alarm has been cancelled, press the “Reset” button to return the system to normal operation

Additional break-out or break-in function (optional)

The sliding door leaves can be swung open manually in an emergency, in the same way as a normal swing door,to free the escape route/emergency exit. Mechanical door closers ensure that the hinge-opening doors close once again after being opened in an emergency.

Mandatory fire-prevention components

Emergency operating mode with battery and charge monitoring

The door closes in emergency operating mode if there is a power failure or fire alarm, or if the manual activation button is pressed.

Addition control for fire prevention purposes

Universal adapter and relay PCB with connections for up to three smoke- or heat-activated switches and/or customer-supplied fire alarm control centre (NC contact).
