ORGANIZATIONS:

Anime Club will meet on Monday after school in room 200.

Yoga club meets on Tuesday after school in the upstairs Pickard Lobby.

Art Club will be meeting in room 420 at 3:20 pm every Tuesday.

SEA Club will now meet on Tuesdays after school. Please plan to meetat 3:25 pmin room 164B.

Eco Club meets everyWednesday at 7:15amin the library.

Spanish Club is having dinner out at Solea's (on Breezewood) thisWednesday, 4/15 at 6:00 p.m.

Yearbook will be meeting Wednesday after school in room 103.

Knitting Club - Meets Wednesdays at3:30in the Career Center. See Mrs. Uvaas with any questions.

Prom Committee will meet everyThursdayafter school in room 208.

Creative Writing Club will not meet this Thursday, will meet April 23, in room 212. See Mrs. Mettlach with any questions.

History Through Film Clubwill be meeting in room 512 onWednesday, April 15 at 3:30.

What is STOP? Students go to all the Elementary Schools in the district and share ways to avoid the pressures of alcohol and other drugs. Presentations usually are in a group of 3-5people. Come to a short introductory meeting onTuesday, April 14th at 7:20in room 328. If you have any questions at all please stop by Mr. Pronschinske’s room anytime during the day. Room 328.

Worker forms for the Diversity Fair are now available in the attendance office. Forms must be completed and turned in by Tuesday, April 21.

Four shows of the annual Spring Comedy will take place Thursday throughSaturdayin Pickard Auditorium. The show, “The Man Who Came to Dinner” is a 1939 comedy about a sarcastic radio critic who slips on the front steps of an Ohio businessman’s home and breaks his hip, resulting in a takeover of the man’s home. Shows are set for7 p.m.each night with an additional2 p.m.showon Saturday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens and available at the door.

Attention Seniors: If you would be interested in being a Commencement Speaker at graduation, please stop in the main office and pick up an application. All applications are due at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 24.

A group raising money to support the animal shelter New Pawsibilities in Oshkosh will be selling popsicles after school onFriday, April 17th for $.25 a popsicle. They will be located by Door 3 after school until 4 pm. Come support a good cause!!

Are you interested in being in the 2015 Talent Show? Come to auditions on either Tuesday, April 21 or Wednesday, April 22 at 3:45 pm in the mirror room (note, these are new dates). We hope to see you there, the Talent Show is coming up on Friday, May 8th.

Prom tickets for the Arabian Nights Neenah High School Prom and for Post Prom at the Neenah High school will be on sale in front of student services next weekApril 20- April 24before and after school. The cost for prom is $20.00 for a single ticket and $40 for a couple and will go from8-11:30onApril 24that the Riverwalk Hotel in Neenah. Post Prom with ahypnotist,food, games and prizes will cost $8 and go frommidnight to 3 AM. Please pick up tickets next week.

Tuesday – Co-ed Volleyball in the gym at 6:30 pm – sign up in the Activities office

Thursday – Kickback Event at Shattuck Park with live music

Juniors and Seniors need to decide their Prom Court through by voting online. Final voting will begin on April 13 and end onApril 20th. Log into Schoologyandgo under the group Senior Rocket News or Junior Rocket News to vote for the Prom King and Queen. ONLY Juniors and Seniors can vote once for their class. The winners will beannounced the night of prom. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hoff or Ms. Israel.

Attention Freshmen and Sophomores, The window of opportunity is now open to apply for the Business and IT Academy. Applications will be accepted untilMay 1. Sophomores, you must be accepted before your Junior year, so this is your last chance! Pick up an application form from any business teacher or on the bulletin boards in the Business Department. We are open for busy and ready to welcome you!

Students are encouraged to submit their best poetry from the school year in the Neenah Public Library’s annual poetry contest. Submit poetry to the school office betweenApril 1-30. Entries should include the author’s name, address, grade level and school attended. Winners will be notified by mail the week of June 22. Every student who enters the contest will receive a bookmark and winners will receive a certificate and a book of their choice. The winning entries will also be on display at the Neenah Public Library.

Note on students getting jobs – all students under the age of 18 are required to obtain a work permit after they are hired, but before they start working. Work permits cost $10.00. The student is required to have a letter from the employer, showing that they have been hired, and a parent signature somewhere on that letter, and their social security card. They should bring all these things either to City Hall in Neenah, or to the main office at the high school to obtain the permit. There are many job opportunities on the NHS jobs board outside the main office!

“Living the Dream" is a summer Acting program and there are four workshops in all. The cost for each three-week session is $90.00 and include three, 2-hour classes. For descriptions of the workshops we are offering in this series, visithttp://www.rebelacademytheatre.org/about.html

CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to these students for their fantastic performance at the VEX Robotics U.S. Open National Championships this past week: Andrew Belot, Angela Butke, Adam Burkett, Matt Karrmann,

Erik Metzig, Rob Schmidt. Their team finished with an 8-2 record and were ranked 14th out of 85 teams in their division...awesome! They had an excellent experience and represented Neenah very well!

Our Neenah #2 Special Olympic Basketball team won both games over the weekend to become state champions! Take a look at the bracket for scores. Tre Swinford took home the silver medal in basketball skills and Ben Johnson took home the bronze in basketball skills. For more pictures, there is a Neenah Schools Special Olympic page on Facebook.
