  1. Change the home page of IE
  2. Start Internet Explorer (IE)
  3. Click on the Home button

Q: What is the current home page of IE?

A:

  1. Select “Tools” → “Internet Options” in the menu bar
  2. In the “Internet Options” dialog box, click on the “General” tab
  3. Under the “Home page” section, enter “ in Address textbox
  4. Click “OK”
  5. Click on the Home button again

Q: What is the home page of IE now?

A:

  1. Working with Favorites
  2. Go to in IE
  3. Click on the Favorites button
  4. Click “Add” in the Favorites window and then click "OK" in the “Add Favorite” dialog box. Write down what happened.

  2. Put your floppy disk into the floppy drive
  3. Select “File”  “Save As” in the menu bar
  4. In “Save Web Page” dialog box, choose floppy drive (A:) in the Save in drop-down menu
  5. Enter “yahoo” in the File name text box
  6. Click on the drop-down arrow of the Save as typedrop-down menu

Q: How many file type can you choose from?

A:

  1. Select “Web Page, complete” in Save as type and click “Save”
  2. Open Windows Explorer and go to the floppy disk

Q: Do you see the file “yahoo” in your floppy disk?

  1. Double-click the file name “yahoo” in Windows Explorer

Q: What is the Web page displayed in IE?

A:

  1. Close the current IE window and the Windows Explorer window

Note: To save an image in a Web page, Right-click on the image in a Web pageand then select “Save Picture As” in the shortcut menu

  2. Download the file “CH03search_me.htm” in WebCT (Assignments  Lab Assignments) and open the file in IE
  3. Click “Google” under Links to search engines
  4. In Google, enter “Colorado Ski Resorts” and press <Enter>
  5. Review the search results returned by Google
  6. In Google text box, enter “Colorado Ski Resorts” WITH the quotation marks and press <Enter>
  7. Review the search results returned by Google
