Description:

/ This is a one day introductory traffic signal course designed to enable entrylevel traffic personnel to acquire a basic knowledge of traffic signals. The course study will be broad and basic. After completion of the course, the student will have an understanding of how/why a signal is installed, what a signal agreement is, and will have a basic understanding of signal plans, operations, and component names. Each participant will receive a course manual.

Audience:

/ Anyone interested in traffic signals including State, County, City and Consultant professionals involved in traffic signals.

/ Participants will receive a course manual

Class Fee:

/ $100: MnDOT Employees (includes materials, lunch and morning break)
$200: Non MnDOT Customers (includes materials, lunch and morning break)

Lodging:

/ Make your own arrangements if necessary. There are numerous hotels within a few miles.

Registration Procedures:

/ MnDOT EMPLOYEES:
Obtain supervisory approval and contact your Training Representative to register.
NON MNDOT CUSTOMERS: Please use attached registration form and send to: Ron Bisek, 1500 West County Road B2, MS 725, Roseville, MN 55113. Registration form and check must accompany each other. Submit a separate check for each person attending.
Registrations will be closed on January 11, 2018.
Enrollment confirmations will be sent to paid registrants via email. You are not registered until confirmation is received. Class size is limited.

Cancellation Procedures:

/ All cancellations must be made by 7 calendar days prior to the class starting date to Ron Bisek. Substitutions allowed. (late cancellations and no shows will be charged)
All cancellations must be through the EDS. (MnDOT ONLY)

Compensatory Time:

/ Employees who are subject to overtime should note that all non-assigned training is voluntary and that the total state time is not to exceed the regular scheduled work day.
