FRONT PANEL CONNECTION
Due to the tag and pin assignment of front panel connector may vary for different type of motherboard, we can only provide a general guideline for the wire connection. You should refer to your motherboard installation manual for detail.
FRONT PANEL CONNECTORS
Connect RESET SW, POWER SW, POWER LED, HDD LED and SPEAKER to correspondent front panel connectors of motherboard.
FRONT PANEL AUDIO CONNECTORS
- Connect MIC VCC (MIC POWER or MIC_BIAS)and MIC DATA (MIC_IN or MIC)to correspondent motherboard connectorfor microphone input. (Pin#3 and Pin#1 in 10-pin audio connector)
- Connect EAR_Lto (SPK L or L_OUT or L) and EAR_R to(SPK R or R_OUT or R) for headphoneor audio output forleft and right channel respectively. (Pin#9 and Pin#5 in 10-pin audio connector)
- Connect extra (black color wire) EAR_Land EAR_Rto R-RET (or NEXT_R) andL-RET (or NEXT_L) for Rear/Back panel headphone or audio output (Pin#10 and Pin#6 in 10-pin audio connector). It will send a signal to system to disablethe rear audio output when front panel output device was connected. (Note: Some motherboard might not have R-RET and L-RET connectors then just leave these connectors alone.)
FRONT PANEL USB CONNECTORS
Some motherboard may have more than two pairs of front panel USB connector, you can pick any pair of USB port and leave the extra USB port alone. Once you select USB port on your motherboard, follow the pin assignment of your motherboard, connectUSB connectors to the corresponding USB front panel connector on your motherboard,
Connect USB connectors VCC to USB power port(orUSB+5V),USB1-/USB2- to USB data port “–“(-D or USB-), USB1+/USB2+ to USB data port “+”(+DorUSB+), GND to GROUND (GND) and leave extra connectors such as NC (Normal Closed) or GND alone.(Note: Please pay attention on USB pin connection, wrong wire connection will cause USB device damaged)
IEEE-1394 CONNECTOR
Connect TPA+, TPA-, TPB+, TPB-, VP, VG, GND (SHIELD) to IEEE1394 (Firewire) connector. Depend on your motherboard, if your motherboard did not provide this kind of connector then just neglect it.
FAN CONNECTOR
Connect case fans’ 4-pin power connector to any 4-pin power connector from the power supply. For 3-pin power connector case fans, you can connect it directly to any 3-pin connector of motherboard or fan controller, or add 3-pin to 4-pin converter then you can connect them to any 4-pin power connector from the power supply.
