Tball Rules

  1. 9” real baseball – ex. Diamond Dola – no bouncy balls
  2. No over throw rule to 1st or 3rd – runners may advance at will
  3. 10 players in the field
  4. 4 outfielders must play behind the baseline
  5. Pitcher is not required to wear a helmet with face guard
  6. Catcher is not required to wear full gear but must wear a helmet with face guard
  7. 6 runs an inning
  8. Run rule is 13 after 3 and 7 after 4
  9. 5 inning game, 1 hr time limit, or run rule – whichever comes first
  10. 60ft bases
  11. 3 coaches passes
  12. 2 umpires per game in ring games
  13. Bats must be usssa stamped
  14. Batting coach must remove the tee from the playing field after each hit
  15. 3 swinging strikes – batter must hit the ball into the field of play on the 3rd swing or the batter is out
  16. Tie breaker – last out will be put on 2nd base with one out – next inning(s) – last out will be put on 2nd base with 2 outs and will continue until we have a winner
  17. Must have 8 players to start the game
  18. 1 team warning for bat throwing – next batter(s) are out
  19. Only head coach can address an umpire about a call
  20. Head coach is responsible for keeping their fans under control
  21. Coin flip will determine home and away
  22. Have fun

Coach pitch rules

  9. 60ft bases
  10. Pitching coach must throw overhand from a standing position from 42 ft
  11. 3 coaches passes
  12. 2 umpires per game in ring games
  13. Bats must be usssa stamped
  14. Pitching coach must remove the bat from the playing field after each hit
  15. 5 pitches or 3 swinging strikes
  16. Tie breaker – last out will be put on 2nd base with one out – next inning(s) – last out will be put on 2nd base with 2 outs and will continue until we have a winner
  17. Must have 8 players to start the game
  18. Bunting is allowed – No fake bunting then swinging (batter will be called out) – Only pitcher may charge a bunted ball before contact
  19. Infield fly rule in effect
  20. Pitching coach must exit fair territory after the ball is hit and/or avoid contact – If a batted ball hits the pitching coach then it is a dead ball – If pitching coach interferes with a play then batter is out and all runners return to their base
  21. No stealing
  22. 1 team warning for bat throwing – next batter(s) are out
  23. Pitching coach cannot talk to batter
  24. Only head coach can address an umpire about a call
  25. Head coach is responsible for keeping their fans under control
  26. Coin flip will determine home and away
