2017 Overlander Loppet
Race Notice
DATE: Sunday, 12 February 2017
RACE LOCATION: STAKE LAKE NORDIC CENTRE
25 minutes south of Kamloops on the Lac Le Jeune Rd. Start and Finish are located in the stadium, which is approximately 800 m from the day lodge and parking area. A concession and warming area will be located adjacent to the stadium.

ELIGIBILITY: Skiers must be a member in good standing of a CCC/USSA sanctioned ski club, but ski licenses are not required.
RACE ENTRIES Registration is ONLINE ONLY, via zone4.ca: Access www.zone4.ca Click on the cross country skiing icon and locate this event in the list of open registrations. Credit card payment is required. THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL FEE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION. Registration fees include trail fees. Please check the Zone4 confirmation list for this race to be sure that you have registered correctly.
DEADLINES Race fees are listed below and are in effect until 10 FEBRUARY 2015 AT MIDNIGHT (PST). Any registrations received on February 11 (Saturday) will be subject to a $5 late registration fee. Entry deadline is Saturday, February 11 at 6:00 p.m. (18:00 PST). NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
STARTLISTS/BIBS Bibs can be picked up on Sunday, 12 February, between 8:30 A.M. and 9:30 AM. BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP BY 9:30 a.m.
AWARDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers will be recognized in each age category, male and female. Paarticipation awards for all finishers up to 10 years of age. Draw prizes available for all finishers. Presentations will take place in the stadium following the race.
WE ARE PART OF THE KAL-WEST LOPPET SERIES
Ski in 4 of the 5 loppets in the series and you will be eligible for a participation prize. If you are the competitive type, points for your 3 best finishes will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age category, male and female. Challenge yourself either against others, or to complete 4 (or more) loppets, or both. Support our local ski clubs, organizers and volunteers, but most importantly, have fun!

FACILITIES A heated day lodge and outhouses, as well as flush toilets, are located near the parking area at the start of the Stake lake trail system, which is approximately 800 m from the stadium. The machine shop will be cleared and used as a warming room/lodge for weekend. Portable toilets are available near the stadium and outhouses are located at various locations along the trails.
WAXING Electrical outlets are available adjacent to the stadium. A few outlets are also available outside the Stake Lake day lodge (800 m from the stadium). No waxing inside the day lodge.
WARM UP/ A warm-up and wax testing area is available near the stadium; no wax
WAX TESTING testing or warm up is allowed on the course during the competition.
COURSE MAPS The 18 km loop will be a new course for an OSC Loppet and will provide a great sample of our 60+ km trail system. Course maps will be posted at the site and online at the Overlander website: www.overlanderskiclub.com

REFUNDS In theevent of a cancellation dueto bad weatherconditions, the organizers reserve the right torecover costs incurred. Refunds for medicalreasons are availableupon receipt of a medical note from a physician or nurse practitioner.
FOOD As part of the race fee, lunch is provided for participants in the warming room near the stadium.
