What do you see as the biggest strength of this lesson plan?

Overall, I think that your "problem" is excellent and provides a real-world challenge to high school students. I also like that you divide the class into "employers" and "employees." Giving the students a chance to see things from the other side of the hiring desk would be very worthwhile and would help them objectively look at their own strengths and weaknesses.

What do you see as the biggest weakness of this lesson plan?

I think you may have too many standards listed. I understand that this lesson will be spread out over 6 class periods, but having so many standards may cause you to lose focus. For example, you have the following two standards:

·  4.A.5b: Use techniques for analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of oral messages.

·  4.B.5a: Deliver planned and impromptu oral presentations, as individuals and members of a group, conveying results of research, projects or literature studies to a variety of audiences (e.g., peers, community, business/industry, local organizations) using appropriate visual aids and available technology.

Now, a valid argument can be made that a mock job interview may fall under 4.A.5b, but it would be a real stretch to see that as a " conveying results of research, projects or literature studies to a variety of audiences" from 4.B.5a.

Now, I don't know the whole layout of your unit, but splitting this lesson up into two parts, resume then interview, may be something to consider.
