1.  Welcome New Executive Members

2.  Bauer Proposal – Carson

-  Possible new jerseys

-  ($150) 1550 – top end jersey

-  ($55-75 up to $100 / jersey) 950 – custom jersey – design / color code – moisture evaporating

-  ($75) 850 – go to jersey – NHL Mock ups (any pattern /our colors) Heavy duty

5.  1660 League Report – Shawn Lauer

Highlights/changes from 1660

a)  Mileage less – competition more

b)  Leagues coming in will have to do bulk of travel

c)  Looking at AA model to make more than one game for far away games

d)  1660 super league

e)  trial for this year – can vote again next year

f)  Atom and up only

g)  Not stopping at tier 5

6.  Hockey Alberta Report – Jeff Laberge

a)  HA Zone 7 meeting – April

b)  June 11-12 Red Deer next meeting

c)  Hitting is still in – for the next 2 years at least – individual leagues discretion

d)  No hit option – If we have two teams one Bantam Team possibly – only association to make request

e)  Asked to work with our association interest with carrying players from Beaumont to play hit hockey and send kids who don’t want to hit over to Beaumont

7.  Specialty Clinics for 2016/2017 Season – Wes Nessler / Matt Nordstrom

a)  Player Development:

-  very close (90%) to signing Gut Analytics Player Development

-  run in practice time

-  Chris Noble or Wes Nessler for goalie clinics

-  Beaumont may want to bring out goalies to do shared practices

-  Look into Quantum speed skating possibly?

-  Every month open clinic at a cost to attendees

b)  Coach Development:

-  To bring in additional HA clinic to teach coaches how to utilize goalies in practice – Matt sent email

-  1 ice slot and 1 ½ classroom

8.  Fundraising/ Commitment- Jennifer Charette

a)  Fair: Concession – all good

9.  Pond Hockey – Gail Hetman / Greg Baldwin

a)  Inquiries to date – 3

b)  Program Planning – Saturday 9:45am in development

c)  Rates – at least 12-15 kids $175

-  cost for 18 time slots at $118 is $2124

-  Derrick to look into more pond hockey structure from Wetaskwin

-  Deadline for numbers August 1st

10.  Association Ice Schedule – Trish Galenza / Jeff Laberge

a)  Schedule must be ready for Ag Society third week of July. Need to know # of teams.

b)  Association Tournament Dates – preliminary discussion – same as last year

c)  Association Pictures: SDI / Thursday October 13, 2016

d)  Referee Clinic: Booked for November 19th tentative

e)  Preliminary schedule created – Jeff from April

a)  Advertise for Demo Derby, Pond Hockey Program

12.  Possible ideas for recruiting new players to the association

a)  Pond Hockey Program- Send out flyer to schools and advertise on the website

b)  Hold an information session- Rent out the gym in the summer months (September) and have a hockey day fun day with different hockey related games for the kids to play.

a)  Boundary change request with Beaumont – Jeff pressing – waiting to hear back – range road 232 and 233 to 510 (Blackgold school boundaries)

b)  Player Request – Beaumont – all levels including goalies

c)  Player Request – Tofield – excess Bantam kids

d)  Sponsorship for upcoming season (Jerseys, Teams, Association) need plan for people to sponsor jerseys, teams or association.

-  double sponsor jerseys one home / one away

-  bottom patch – paid for by sponsor – done by Michelle

-  start pushing for association to look for sponsorship

e)  Ice time for different levels

f)  Initiation (3-5) definition – 1 half ice / ice slot per week (4 year olds) (discussion next meeting)
