Description:This was an e-governance project for Chhattisgarh State Government. The project involved computerisation of Citizen interface of different government departments like Municipality, Rural / Urban Development Authority, Electricity Board, Collectorate, RTO, Police Department, etc.
This project comprises Fibre Optic network connecting most government buildings with a gateway to Internet. Citizens all over the Chhattisgarh State (even country) can receive services like issue of Birth Certificate from registered Cyber Cafe.
Initially this project was implemented in one district only. From Dec’2007 it was rolled out to 5 more districts of Chhattisgarh state. The rollout plan was designed in phased manner, developing strategies to minimize technical risks encountered during implementation of the solutions. New servers’ farms are also being implemented with load balancing at application / server level. The project also involved Internet Load Balancing through redundant link.
A separate FM support contract and AMC support contract are there to ensure smooth operation of the citizen services.
A pilot project called Smart City Project was executed in 2001 with a very short time target. Windows KIOSK Machine remotely connects Windows NT Server through a RAS.
Responsibilities:Handled the following tasks:
–Leading a team of Client Dependency Test and preparing client machine requirements.
–Re-designing the networking and server farms according to changed need of customer.
–Finalising Server and Client Hardware and preparing BOM.
–Supporting Marketing & Software Group for studying and making proposals.
