Current Status:

Working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Presidency University, Kolkata since 1st August, 2013.

Doing Ph.D. in Economics at Department of Economics, Jadavpur University under the guidance of Prof. Bhaswar Moitra since April, 2010. Title of the Ph.D. dissertation is, “Three Essays on Informal Credit Institutions in the Garment Industry in Kolkata”.

Other Work Experience:

Worked as a teaching assistant in Jadavpur University, conducting various classes covering mainly microeconomics, and game theory at undergraduate and postgraduate levels since January 2011.

Worked as Principal Investigator (consultant and individual contractor, contract no-5660) in a study on “Labor Productivity and Export Performance: Firm Level Evidence of Indian Manufacturing Industries Since 1991” financed by ESCAP/ARTNeT (United Nations) from 15.12. 2011 to 25. 04. 2012.

Worked as research assistant for the project “Preparation of District Human Development Report” for Purba Medinipur under the supervision of Prof. Ajitava Raychaudhuri from 1.12.2009 to 1.3.2010.

Worked as research assistant for the project “Nayachar Survey” under the supervision of Prof. Ajitava Raychaudhuri from 1.05.2009-1.06.2009.

Worked as research assistant for the project “Barddhaman Survey-JU” under the supervision of Prof. Ajitava Raychaudhuri from 19.5.2008 to 19.01.2009.
