Commissioner Kokoski welcomed LeadershipLorainCounty and stated this was the shortest agenda since she has become Commissioner. She attended Monday at Barry’s Restaurant a legislative briefing, hope the legislators are listening to them about cuts.

Commissioner Kalo said all 5 counties were represented at legislative meeting at Barry’s. He congratulated LorainCounty chamber on the annual meeting. He also was appointed to serve on Untied Way Emergency Food and is chair to utilities and thanked LeadershipLorainCounty for coming today.

Commissioner Williams said the legislative meeting at Barry’s was a very informative.

#3.Neighborhood House Association served 517 children at Christmas, dining to donate was a huge success and April 16 – Run for the homeless, June 24 – Crushers game, August 19 Golf and many items are needed; large 18 gal plastic containers w/lids paper shredders, bus vouchers, coffee, antibacterial soap, all purpose cleaners, paper towel/toilet paper, diapers/wipes, laundry detergent/dryer sheets, dish soap and 30 gal and 50 gal garbage bags. #8.Wood County Board of Commissioners sent Governor Kasich a letter stating in order to address significant budget issues and suggested saving money in ODOT budget is to stop mowing all grass along their interstate highways and interchanges. They suggest that mowing be done to allow enough space for disabled vehicles

She said on February 25 at LCCC will be the gala “Seeds of Change” with Co-Chair’s Bob Fisher and James Cordes. The will honor the following for excellence in Leadership Award too; Betty Blair, former Lorain County Commissioner, Larry Bettcher, Chairman & CEO-Bettcher Industries, Frank DeTillio, President-Lorain County Chamber and El Centro de Servicios Sociales, Inc..
