Professional Development:
On Tuesday, November 3, 2015, No School for Students District Wide Professional Development (Election Day).
Senior Class Pinning Breakfast:
On Friday, November 6, 2015, the Senior Class of 2016 will have their Senior Pinning Breakfast event at 9:00 a.m. Guest tickets are $25.00, the maximum guest per senior is 6. All tickets must be purchased in advance during students lunch hour. Location: International Banquet & Conference Center, 400 Monroe Ave #830, Detroit, MI 48226 (313) 963-1400.
All seniors must be in proper business attire (No gym shoes, jeans). All males must wear a dress shirt and dress pants. All females must wear knee length dress or skirts, also no revealing necklines. Students should dress conservative for this important rite of passage event.
Afterschool Tutorial:
The Title One Afterschool Tutorial services are offered on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:55 p.m. – 3:55 p.m. Tutoring available for the following subjects: Math, English, Science, and Social Studies.
Quarter 1 Report Cards:
November 13, 2015, Quarter 1 Report Cards will be distributed during 6th hour class.
National Honors Society:
National Honors Society is hosting its Annual Canned Food Drive. Students are encouraged to bring in canned good items to help families in need for the entire month of November. Students can donate 4 can goods to receive 1 get out of detention pass. All items will be donated to Gleaners Forgotten Harvest. See Mrs. Cox for details.
Citywide Poets Poetry:
Citywide Poets Poetry group sponsored by Inside Out Literacy Arts Program will begin Monday, November 9, 2015. The group will meet every Monday from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in Room 101. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Rogers in Room 101.
