Dear Parent/Carer,

Studley High School Borneo Expedition 2017 - Parent/Guardian Presentation

Following the success of the 2015 expedition, your son/daughter has expressed an interest in the school expedition to Borneo in the summer break of 2017, organised by award-winning school expedition specialist, Camps International.

We would like to invite you and your son/daughter to a presentation to learn more about this exciting opportunity and to provide you with a detailed information pack. Come along on

Tuesday 13th October at 18:30 in the Main Hall

This one-month expedition offers students life-enhancing experiences by:

•  Working on a range of sustainable and meaningful community and conservation projects

•  Undertaking a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course

•  The option to work towards 70 UCAS points to help gain entry into the university of their choice

•  Enhancing their CV through personal development, discovery and challenge

•  Building their confidence, becoming more independent and improving their leadership skills

•  Gaining experience in teamwork, time management, financial awareness and resourcefulness.

Camps International has provided fully supported expeditions for hundreds of UK and International schools, offering a wide range of award-winning projects with a proven track record of quality and safety. They are one of only 7 providers to have been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge, a government accredited quality and safety assurance.

They are also the only expedition provider to own, manage and operate 25 permanent and exclusive camps in Africa, Asia and South America, delivering maximum benefits to the people and wildlife that need it most by committing year round to a range of projects that have benefitted over 35,000 people in developing countries. This also means that they have unrivalled support systems in place to deal with emergencies.

The cost of the expedition is £4,170 and is protected by ATOL (6608). Students will be fundraising individually and as a group with the help and support of both the school and the Camps International fundraising team to raise money for their trip. In addition, payment plans are available to help spread the cost. This includes our Direct Debit facility, which helps students and parents manage fundraising targets and payments with simple monthly installments.
